"Hey Lana!! What's up?"

It had been a week since Lina and Lana started working together in the nail salon. Lina decided to come in early for work and already saw Lana sitting at her desk, doing practice nails.

"Hey! Uhm, nothing much. I just wanted to practice doing sets a bit more."

Lana has actively been trying to avoid Lina. Not that she did anything wrong at the moment, she just couldn't face her and sound stupid everytime she talked to Lina.

"Oh! I'll practice with you too." Lina took a seat next to Lana and smiled at her and at that moment, Lana really felt like she melted into the floor from how gorgeous she looked with her perfect teeth. And luscious lips. Again, perfectly normal friend behavior, right??

She shook those thoughts away. Not now, she needs to focus on her work.

As the busy day came to an end, Lina and Lana were dead tired from doing everyone's nails. Of course this has become routine everyday, but today was more exhausting for both of them.

"I don't even know how I'll get back home being this tired. My apartment is so far away." Lana complained as she stood up for the first time in hours and stretched herself.

"Hmmm.. If you want you could stay over at my house for the night. My apartment is right next to the salon."

Lana was surprised at how fast Lina suggested that idea, but she wasn't going to complain.

"Sure! I mean.. if that's okay with you. I don't want to intrude or anything, haha."

Lina rolled her eyes at Lana and said, "Oh, shut up and stop pretending to be all nice now. I don't mind visitors in my house, and never visitors that are as attractive as you."

Lana got a bit flabbergasted by her last line, but quickly shook her head, "Hey, I'm always nice, I'm just not nice to people who don't deserve my niceness."

"Aww.. so you think I'm deserving of your niceness. Adorable. Anyways, pack up and let's go, I'm starving."

Lana didn't realize that she hadn't eaten all day until Lana said that and quickly packed her things in her bag.

"No way this is your apartment. How did you even afford this?"

Lana was surprised at how big Lina's apartment was compared to hers. Even after 5 years of working as the nail tech, it somehow still wasn't enough to get a decent enough apartment.

"Do you want to ask questions or do you want to walk all the way to your house?"

"Never mind then... so what do you usually cook for yourself after work? Or do you order takeout?"

For the first time, Lana realized she knew absolutely nothing about Lina. Sure, Lina and the whole world knew about Lana and her past but Lina is still a mystery.

Lina walked to the kitchen and pulled out a pot from underneath the counter. "Oh, I love cooking, but I never get time to cook or I'm too tired. Maybe today I'll make a quick 20 minute pasta for the both of us."

Lana smiled in response, "How did you know I liked pasta?"

"I didn't. Most people like pasta, so that was really just a lucky guess. Okay, I'll get started with dinner and you go sit in the living room and watch something on TV. Now, shoo!!"

Lana pulled a shocked face and exclaimed, "Rude much? What if I wanted to help?"

Lina rolled her eyes in response. "I know you don't even know how to cook. Which you should, by the way. It's a survival skill."
