Upon entering the supposed gym of the campus, our heels clacked against the hard wooden floorboards that covered the room.
Every student we had just greeted a couple minutes all occupied their own personal space on the gym floor. Some in small duos like me and Kokichi, and others alone.
To cure us of this more than awkward silence, Kirumi spoke up, bringing our attention to her.
"All 17 of us have gathered..."
"Hmm, it's pretty spectacular seeing all 17 of us Ultimates gathered together," Kaito smiled, flashing his teeth at the neighboring Ultimates.
"Kehehe..." Korekiyo chuckled slyly, "You may not be able to be so easygoing for much longer..."
'Well, aren't you just lovely.'
"In this situation, it's no use thinking about things. So eventually, Tsumugi stopped thinking."
"...Are you speaking in the third person?" I asked, eyeing Tsumugi as she tapped her cheek. Her face flushed upon seeing my stare."
"Nyeeeh..." Himiko groaned, "What's gonna happen to us? I bet it'll be a big pain..."
The more than obviously staring Tenko stood behind Himiko, humming as she tugged on her chin as if she was pulling at a gray beard.
"What? What are you looking at?"
'Nothing impressive, that's for sure.'
"Um...Himiko, you can use amazing powers, right!? Cuz you're a psychic and stuff, right?"
'Jesus, has she been hanging around Himiko the WHOLE FUCKING time while we were saying hi to everyone? I almost feel bad for her.'
"I'm not a psychic...I'm a mage."
'Ugh, I hate how she takes so long when pausing in her sentence. That's my thing!"
"Whoooa! That's amazing! I definitely wanna incorporate that into Neo-Aikido! Hey, what sorta training did you undergo to gain your awesome powers!?" Tenko squealed, her face lighting up with sparkles.
"Talking about it is too tiring..." Himiko yawned.
"Oh, I can imagine. After all, doing what we've done today, you must be tired," I forced myself to smile, the edge of it sagging down as I rolled my eyes at her laziness.
"Pardon me," Kiibo interrupted, raising his left hand to gain our attention, "But...we need to be on guard. We do not know if and when danger will strike."
"D-Don't say that...I'm so scared...I don't know what to do..." Kokichi sniffled, clinging to my arm as tears filled his drooping violet eyes.
"There is no need to worry. Atua will protect us," Angie beamed at Kokichi, clapping her hands together as she spun.
