Ayat POV:

"What is the name of the groom?" Henna artist asked Zara. First this bitch blushed then replied, "Waqas."

The henna artist wrote the name of Waqas bhai in her palm but hid it efficiently. No one could find it not even Waqas bhai.

Just then I turned on my mobile to read the novel I started a week ago and was about to read but then... "Ayat! Please bring me something to eat. I am famished."

Ugh! This bitch.
Rolling my eyes at her and cursing her in every language I knew including Turkish, I glared her first then got up to bring something for her to eat.

In reply, she pouted cutely and batted her eyelashes at me on which I smiled. This bitch looked adorable but I won't tell her.

Whole week had passed being busy in preparation of the upcoming wedding.
Even phupo didn't get time to taunt me and insult me. She was over the moon after knowing her favorite niece was going to get married.

She smiled and kissed her forehead and gave her dua, something she had never done for me. Not that I complain.

Ok... I am complaining.
Yes it hurts.

Everyone was busy in wedding preparations since it's the first wedding of our family. Taya abu didn't even invite much people for wedding. Just family members of both families.

Even we weren't doing much functions as per our bride's request.
Just nikah and rukhsati. Walima will be held few days later. Maybe a week or so...

So today we were applying mehndi on hands and both of us will spend our last night together and will enjoy so much.
Time flew so fastly!!
She was getting married.

"Eww. Stop doing this, you're looking like a monkey." I said teasing her. "You bitch!! You don't deserve my endearments." She threw at me. I laughed at her tactics and said, "Stupid, I was just teasing you. Let me grab something for our bride-to-be."

"Awww. I love you, my babe." She said pulling my cheeks. "Ouch, it hurts you know. Besides keep these endearments and confessions for Waqas bhai." I teased her and winked at her.

"YOU BITCH, I HATE YOU!!!" She yelled at me and I laughed at her. "Love you too, bestie." I replied with a grin and left for the kitchen.

************

"Ok, I am done with my mehndi. Now it's Ayat's turn." I heard Zara saying it when I was busy reading my book.

"Show me, how is it looking?" I asked Zara being excited to see her mehndi.
She raised her arms to show me her mehndi and it was looking so beautiful.

Simple. Elegant. Perfect.
Just like how Zara liked.

"Wow. Zara, not gonna lie, It's looking beautiful. MashaAllah." She smiled and gave me a 'I know my choice is always good' look and said,
"Now your turn. Hurry up! We have so much to do. It's our last night together."

I felt a pang of hurt when she reminded me. It's her last night here.
Tears formed in my eyes and it took everything in me not to cry.

"Ayat, not again, please." Zara said feeling annoyed by me crying nth time. "I don't want to. But this useless water keep coming in my eyes." I said while wiping my tears.

She smiled a little and hugged me.
"I will miss you, bitch." I hugged her back and replied, "I will miss you too, Zara."

"Ok, now enough emotional drama. I don't want to look less pretty than you tomorrow. Just today I did my skin care."

I smacked her arm and glared at her.
She laughed and hugged me again.
"Seeems like a daily soap is going on here." We broke the hug by the invader's voice who was Tayi ami.

"Ami, this bitch is hell bent on making me look less pretty than her tomorrow. See she's crying again." Zara, the bitch, complained to Tayi ami. "Ayat betay, no more crying. Ye toh khushi ka moqa hai."
"G, tayi ami."

"Good girl. Now be quick and you too apply mehndi on your hands."
She said while caressing my head lovingly.

I sat down infront of the henna artist and she started applying mehndi on my hands.

I was almost done with the mehndi but then henna artist asked me.
"Which name should I write on your palm?"

First, I blushed thinking about whose name I should write on my palm and then blurted immediately. "Please write, Z."

"Ooooo, Zahran bhai's name." Zara teased me which made me flabbergasted.

"Zara!! It's not bhai's name. It is my husband name. Have you forgotten, bhai loves someone else already!" I said defending myself.

Why would I write bhai name on my palm?? 🙄

"What! You got married!!! When? How? With who?!!" She bombarded me with questions and I laughed at her reaction.

"Stupid. I told you about him. You remember my fictional husband Zade Meadows?!" "Ohh.. Yeah I remember Zack."

I smacked her shoulder and said,
"it's Zade not Zack. You don't even remember your brother-in-law's name. Shame on you, Zara."

"What the hell, bitch. You hit me just for this little thing. You are just crazy." "Yes, crazy for him." I smiled dreaming about him and she just shook her head.

Till that time, I was done with my mehndi with the alphabet Z. I smiled seeing his name on my palm.
Why does it feeling like something bad is going to happen?
No, it's probably my overthinking.

Later, Zara and I spent our night in her room gossiping, watching movies, eating late night snacks, remembering old memories and obviously me crying because of her departure.

She was the only sister and friend I had and she too was going..
Almost at the time of 4:00 am, we both drifted to sleep. Tomorrow was her nikah and I was excited as well as sad..

But didn't knew something bad was about to happen to me which would change my life at 360°
