I'm frustrated because he will just leave me in a corner while he's over there talking to someone else.

Suddenly, someone spoke, and my gaze shifted to the MC on stage, who was under the spotlight, drawing everyone's attention to him now.

I'm scared of the way the man has been staring at me with a scrutinizing look.

"Tonight we will start the usual activities at this party!" Opening remarks of the MC.

I furrowed my brow because I didn't understand what he was referring to.

"Who do you want to go first?" The question from the MC was quickly followed by the woman in the gold gown, who smiled as she made her way to the stage.

I just realized that Damien was already beside me; I've been drinking quite a bit and I'm starting to feel a bit dizzy, so I decided to stop drinking.

I just realized that the wine of the rich is actually delicious.

"The bidding is now open!" The shout of the MC.

Damien gave me a meaningful look, and even though I was dizzy, I still knew what was happening around me.

"Damn! Why are you drunk?" This was he said to me, but I just ignored it.

I heard that the bidding reached 50M thousand for the woman, while the next woman was at 30M. The amount is staggering; I was left speechless by how huge it is.

They're just throwing money away, tsk, but then again, they're rich.

Because I was feeling dizzy, someone pulled me towards the stage.

I heard the shouting around me grow louder; it was Damien who brought me here, and I shot him a nasty look. Even though I had been drinking, I knew what was happening.

What the heck! What is on his mind?

"Oh miss, you are so beautiful even if you are stumbling as you walk!" The MC told me to be amazed.

Because of my drunkenness, I didn't resist whatever they planned for me as long as they wouldn't kill me.

"Once again, let's start the bidding at 20M,"  the MC said, as I widened my eyes in disbelief. Is it really that high? Oh no!

The people around me shouted even louder, their gazes melting into me as if they were undressing me.

"50M," shouted the man who had been looking at me for a while. Our eyes met, and I quickly looked away because there was something unusual about the way he was staring.

I suddenly got nervous; what will happen to me after the bidding? Oh, come on!

"Only lightning has no retaliation, Damien!" I am pouring out my thoughts in my mind.

"I looked at the one who shouted '60M,' followed by my grimace because that person is old."

"75M," shouted again the man who was looking at me earlier.

At this point, I turned my gaze to Damien as i were asking for help. He threw me a meaningful glance before a mischievous smile broke out.

It seems like he is enjoying watching me; I can't sit still anymore because the shouting around me is getting louder.

"80M," shouted someone wearing a hat, so I couldn't really make out their appearance.

"90M" the shouting around grew louder.

This time, my knees are shaking because 90 million is no joke.

Maybe later, in exchange for the money they will pay, they'll take my body. Oh no, I won't agree to that.

"What I had in mind was to escape, but it disappeared because I'm getting dizzy. I mean, how can you be so foolish? You know you're going to run away, yet you got drunk. Tsk! I am giving myself a sermon.
