"Where will this take us?" Ruby asked, looking up at the blacksmith, the tree, who'd done so much to help her, despite being promised nothing in return.

"Not where, when you are needed most." she corrected, walking past the group and holding a hand out to the glowing door that would take them home.

Ruby's eyes widened hopefully, and gave a small nod, watching as everyone else went through the door before turning back to the tree.

The red head wanted to say something to the lady; was she really the tree? Would Little, now Somewhat, be okay? Would they ever meet again?

"Why did we come here?" she ended up asking.

The tree just smiled kindly. "That's for you to figure out, Ruby."

Ruby's eyes narrowed at how vague she always was.

"Tell me Ruby, where do you want to go?" the tree asked suddenly, walking back over when it became obvious Ruby wasn't going through the door yet.

Ruby's brow creased in confusion.

"There's somewhere else you want to go," the tree smiled softly, resting a hand on Ruby's shoulder. "If you decide to go there, your friends will support you."

"How do you know that?" Ruby asked.

The tree just nodded back toward the table, at all the wooden figures. "It's my purpose, you could say; to know what people want, to get them where they're meant to be."

"Are we not supposed to go to Vacuo?" Ruby asked, knowing the blacksmith was trying to tell her something.

"That's up to you," the tree removed her arm, and gestured at the door. "Wherever you wish to go, I can send you all there."

Ruby just blinked, then stepped toward the door, close enough to feel the warmth radiating from it. "There is... somewhere." she admitted.

The blacksmith nodded with a warm smile. "Then that's where you'll go."
