Somehow, for some reason, they had gained another roommate. Not that Cynthia was complaining. Stella, on the other hand, was complaining bitterly. As said new roommate was going to share her room.
Cynthia had offered for them to switch, but that hardly seemed fair. Cynthia's room was already a single room. Fit for one person. Stella was already sleeping in a room meant for two people. So, it only made sense that their new roommate would stay in there.
On the other hand, she did have Nox, which probably was why she wasn't getting a roommate any time soon.
"Really, can I please convince all of you to stop being so helpful?" the new girl asked. Flora smiled. "I could've gone six months without unpacking."
"Then we'd find Terra at night with a headlamp doing it all herself." Bloom joked.
"As I was saying, Flora grew up all over. Bit of a wild lifestyle for my aunt and uncle's work." Terre continued.
"As wild as horticultural research fellows can be," Flora added
"So, extremely?" Musa teased.
"And you're cousins? Like actual cousins?" Aisha questioned.
"Uh, second cousins by marriage," Flora explained. "But weirdly, we have the same crooked pinkies."
"Coffee?" Bloom gasped as she helped to unpack Flora's stuff.
"Flora." Blook groaned as she stuck her nose in a packet of coffee. "You are saving my life."
"All my people in one place." Terra beamed. "Can't believe how lucky I am."
"Lucky is one word for our situation," Musa murmured.
"We do have a new and extremely questionable headmistress," Cynthia explained, turning to Flora.
"And a curfew because of the missing twins," Aisha added
"The water pressure in the shower's not great," Musa added teasingly.
"Right," Terra murmured. "And Devin."
"Terra told me what happened," Flora assured them.
"That we have no idea," Terra added bitterly.
"Not totally true." Bloom corrected. "The last thing he said before he passed out was "Rosalind." But the bite marks are still a mystery. He's been unconscious since."
"Have any of you seen him?" Flora questioned.
"Just one of us," Cynthia murmured. Nodding her head towards Stella's room.
Flora nodded wordlessly as they all got back to helping Flora unpack her things. When they were mostly done, Cynthia waved goodbye to the others as she had to get to class. Leaving the others to finish helping Flora unpack.
