Nick:
I scroll down the online brochure that Alexi sent me this past few days, all of it about the program that I could join as a high school graduate. I have never thought about going to college since middle school. I did have a dream, once.
But it all went away because I was too easy to trust and it destroyed me. But I have been thinking about college again after I met Alexi. It's a good thing, right?
It's gonna be fun, I did think about it. Unfortunately I don't even apply for entrance for collage, which is why Alexi has been sending links to me.
My parents will always support whatever I do, they have been supportive about what I'm gonna do after high school.
"We always support you, Nick. You can be anything you want, all you have to do is to follow your heart." It is what Kara said when I told her about my uninterested intention of college.
"Or you could learn how to work at the company, little one. I'm glad if you want to learn, one thing for sure it's gonna be yours when the time comes." Even Eli was supporting me about my choice.
So, today I will have a campus tour with Alexi at the University. She will be attending there in a few days or weeks, I think. Alexi was excited when she was telling me about her tour today.
Since I am gonna drive on my own and Alexi is already on her way to the University. I got caught in the traffic on my way, so I just sent her a message that I would arrive late.
~Hey I'll be a little late.
~Don't worry, I'll meet you at the faculty later.Alexi won't mind it and she just replied,
~Okay ☺️.I think it's about less than 10 minutes, I'm already entering the front gate. My gaze diverts between the road and my car's GPS. It's my first time to the University, so I'm not familiar with the directions.
My parents may live here for almost three years, but I am still not adapting with the directions. Our family moved here, to Eli's hometown after my mum married him. As for me, I was changing schools like three times during my high school. My parents just got me an apartment to rent near the school because they couldn't always move with me. I was a troublemaker, I know.
'You've arrived at the destination.'
The sound of the GPS echoes in the car and I park my car.
~Lexi, I'm here. Where are you now?
I sent a message to Alexi, I reached out for my bag and checked if I left anything. I switch off the music and the car, get off the car.
As I am walking to the entrance, I call Alexi since she is not replying to my message.
The person you are trying to reach is unavailable. Please try again.
I frowned while looking at my phone all confused. What the? I re-dial it, but still the same. I enter the lobby, I can see there are few sofas and tables with chairs, some of them were occupied by the students. Where should I go?
Well, let's just walk through the lobby. I know a few pairs of eyes look my way, but I don't care about it. As I pass the general office, a group of male students block my way.
I look up at them and they give me a smile. The heck? My arms cross in front of my chest, looking at them up and down.
"Hi, you must be new. You need help?" One of the men is brave enough to greet me first.
I shrug, "Hi, yes I'm new here." I pause when I see them exchange smiles. "But...did I speak to you?" I ask.
"What?" He seems confused as he looks at his friends.
