"shit, sit, shit..." Susaru's dark red palms barely keep a hold of the now worn down branch that scratches at her hand as she grips it tightly. Soaked dirt retches under her tattered feet, stained by her actions. Deafening silence rings her ears; her vision blind from rage, teeth still grinding each other, refuting too let her bloodied mouth fully open. Sickly blasts of an unwillingly familiar stench circled around her. Her mind reels, all that was conceivable in her mind was " are they down?" still on high alert, waiting for one of them to twitch, for anything to show any sign of life. Mufflied infant cries suddenly snapped her back into action: eyes fully on the prowl, sharp. Her head snaps towards the piercing sound. Her once wild eyes smoothly filled with relief.

"Juake!" Susaru had almost leaped to her brother, before she noticed the petrified look that cased his entire figure in glass. Now, moving as if she were a worried animal checking on her young, she creeped towards him, ensuring he knew she was not going to harm him.

"Hey...hey, don't worry mija, it's me! You're safe." attempting to carefully console her brother. She had completely forgotten he was even there. gently , she placed her torn, rugged hands, smoothly onto his silky soft face, drenched from desperation. Now clasping his young mind; she slowly pulls him to her chest: all the while Juake cradles his still wailing baby brother in his small frail arms. Juakes sapphire eyes refused to glance in Susaru's direction, instead choosing to focus on his tiny brother, caressing his still newborn head in an attempt to comfort both Tra vera; and himself. As Susaru strokes his trembling face it becomes stained the same colour of her hands, the same colour of the ground, of everything now encasing him. His head lifts towards the now inverted car.

Unconsciously reminding himself how this omen will demonstrate how his life will continue. Crunching footsteps break his trance, glancing upwards as his sister, without his notice, leads him away from that scene they were once trapped in.

Icey water placed strategically over his face, Susaru takes his youthful hands, dipping them into the calm river; rubbing hers and his together. Ridding any evidence of their presence there.

"Juake, look at me, alright." her now cleaned, frozen hands tilt his eyesight towards her. His large, beautiful, bambi eyes now staring directly into hers.

"We can never speak of anything that has happened before this very moment; not mama, not dad, not the bunker. nothing . nothing will leave here, only us. Understand" Susaru softly commands, observing for any signs he understood the severity of what had been asked. Still cradling Trãvera, he stares down, calm. He can't know, it's best if he never knows. Moving his gaze to Susaru: with a timid but determined spark in his eyes, he places his head onto Susana's chest.

"I don't want to remember". How naive...
