Forty-Three
IT HAD ALREADY been two weeks following the Paul Garilla incident, and everything seems to be going back to normal in Warren and David's lives. Paul's parole has already been nullified, and he was sentenced to lifetime imprisonment.
However, three days after Paul's imprisonment, he was declared murdered in the prison's bathroom hall.
The suspect in Paul's murder was still nowhere to be found, but according to Warren's source, the suspect disguised themselves as one of the prison guards, and before they murdered Paul, they first cut his dick out and beaten him into a pulp again.
Multiple bones in Garilla's body were broken, and they were: his jaw, rib cage, legs, pelvis, fingers, neck, and skull.
Warren was under the impression that the murderer somehow holds a deep-seated grudge against Paul. The injuries Paul sustained were like mirroring the unbridled rage the suspect was harboring.
Well, whoever the suspect was, Warren was glad they killed Paul before he even had the chance to do it himself.
Warren also settled his affairs with the press and reporters, who wanted to interview him regarding the Garilla case. Warren also talked to his father about the video clip of him getting aggressive with Paul in front of the school.
At the end of the day, it's all about maintaining the perfect image of his father's empire.
IT'S DECEMBER 17 when Warren came back to work at Spider Web, approximately 8 days left before Christmas Eve.
Inside his office, Warren was browsing through the records of all their expenses with the collaborative project they have with the Sakuras. They're still on phase 2, and to be honest, they're way behind schedule already. According to the prior plan they drafted, they should be on Phase 3 right now, not Phase 2.
Groaning, Warren closed the folder he's skimming through and threw his head at the headrest. For the past two days, he's been getting an earful with his father because the Board of Directors and the Sakuras were getting impatient.
"Tch. Still, why is he biting my head off? It's not my fault that our engineers are all slugs. Father should be raising his concerns to them, not to me."
Which is exactly what Warren is planning.
