I heard very vigorous knocking at my front door and rushed to answer. There stood the towns corpulent chief police officer with sweat brewing on the edge of his receding hair line. Worry clouded his aged eyes as he tried to speak. "Sir, how may I assist you?" I asked in soft polite tone. It was peculiar seeing the chief at such a loss for words, when he has such a fustian nature. "May I come in? I come bearing news of the most somber matter." The chief said with a delicate tone. "Yes, please sit down. May I ask what is the somber matter to discuss?" I inquired, feeling nervousness overtake my heart rate. "Mr.Silver there has been the most unforgiving event." He had started but was turning a slight colour of illness. "Your wife was found in a back street. Beaten." Tears were beginning to bud from the corners of his eyes. Until every bud sprouted into a stream of salt water flowing down his cheek. "Is she going to be okay? May I go see her?" I blurted quickly as panic took over my mind. "Lady Silver has been murdered." The chief muttered flatly. "What happened?!" I roared as pure enmity consumed me causing rather immature actions.
