Here we go Ben thought as he stood foot into his new classroom. The first thing he noticed was he was the only person from his previous class to go to this new room. Ben glanced up at the television which read: "Welcome to Ngahere Hewson 2024, Please Sit down on the Ground" Ben did as he was told and sat down next to another child he already knew. "Hi" Ben mumbled to the child "Hi," He said back
Ben turned his head to see another kid he already knew, Shaun. He was a very smart child and Ben had known him in the past. Ben also noticed a taller, solid boy, "Nerd" He thought.
"So this is our new class," Mrs. Kennedy said to the group of kids sitting on the floor.
"We will be playing a game, get into groups of four and grab 4 sticks and 2 pieces of string each" said the teacher. Ben looked over his shoulder and looked at Shaun, who nodded they walked to the other kid Ben recognized but didn't know the name of. "What is your name?" Ben decided to ask after careful consideration, the boy just looked at Ben blankly. Ben tapped him on the shoulder, "What is your name?" he repeated to the boy. He seemed to wake up and glanced at Ben "My name is Alex".
