The Day We Met

Chapter 2

Parker's POV

I've been walking around trying to find Teddy for a while before I get a phone call from a number I don't recognize.

"Hello?"

"Hi, is this Teddy's owner?"

"Oh my gosh yes, do you have Teddy?"

"Yeah I do , he's just chilling at my apartment right now, do you want me to bring him to you?"

"No it's fine I'm already on the street do you mind if I just come by to get him"

"That's fine I'll send my address"

"Thank you so much" I say before hanging up

I receive a text from the number and immediately head that way. A few minutes later I arrived at the apartment building and walked up to the correct door number and knocked. I waited for a second before I heard footsteps approach the door. The door finally opens, and a girl answers the door. A very beautiful girl with beautiful cult brown hair and stunning brown eyes with a button nose.

"Hello you must be Teddys owner"

I hesitated still taking all of her beauty "Umm...Yeah yes I am"

" Come on in" She opened the door for me to come in.

I spot Teddy on the couch, once he notices me he jumps up and greets me immediately. I noticed a small bandage on one of his paws and I looked up at her with a questioning face.

"Oh I noticed a small cut on his paw so I cleaned it up and put a bandaid on. I grew up with dogs so ya know."

I gave her a smile "Thank you I appreciate it"

"Of course no problem" she smiles backs

I stand up and make my way to the door.

"Thank you for finding and taking care of him"

"Yeah he's pretty adorable so I couldn't just leave him out on the street" She smiled at Teddy

"Yeah he's definitely got that going for him, well thanks anyway" I say and then leave.

Joanna's POV

Wow, he was attractive. He was tall with dark hair and blue eyes and had such a charming smile. I stood with my back against the door with a smile on my face. I suddenly heard a knock on my door. I turn around and open the door and it's the guy again.

"Hi again, I just thought maybe for taking such good care of Teddy maybe I could take you to get a cup of coffee?"

I stood and thought for a second.

I smiled "Sure why not"

I turn to grab my keys and head out the door.

A few minutes later we were at a coffee shop just across the street from my apartment. We both got our orders and found a quaint table next to the window of the shop. Teddy lying quietly under the table near our feet.

"My names Parker by the way" He said

"Oh right I'm Joanna" I smiled

"That's a beautiful name"

"Thank you" I blushed

"So what do you do Joanna?"

"I work at a coffee shop a couple blocks away"I respond

"Oh well maybe we shoulda gone somewhere else" he chuckled

I chuckled back "No it's okay, I could never get tired of coffee"
