AS Nyx crept, heart pounding, through the dimly lit corridors of the dark fortress, she knew she shouldn't be there. The air was thick with danger and the scent of death lingered on every surface. But she couldn't leave Anakin behind, no matter what may happen. Her loyalty to him outweighed any fear or doubt that threatened to consume her. As she made her way deeper into the unknown depths of the fortress, her resolve only grew stronger. She would not abandon her friend, even in the face of certain peril.
Suddenly, she saw Obi Wan and Ahsoka barreling toward her in a blur of motion. The ground trembled with their force as they ran to intercept her. "Just what do you think you're doing?" Obi Wan asked, his firm grip on the taller woman's hand betraying both concern and authority. She stiffened at the contact, not accustomed to being touched, but when Anakin and Obi Wan did so, it was always warm and gentle, never cruel.
She took a deep breath, composing herself before responding. "I am not leaving Anakin," she stated firmly. Ashoka furrowed her brow, clearly confused. "Was there ever any doubt?" she asked innocently. Nyx couldn't help but smile at the young Padawan's naivety; it was endearing.
With a determined tug, Nyx pulled Obi Wan along with her towards the towering house of the Father. As they approached, the Daughter emerged from within, her long green hair floating in an ethereal breeze. "You are not welcome here, dark one," she declared to Nyx, her voice laced with warning.
Ignoring the creature's threat, Nyx growled in defiance and released Obi Wan's hand. "Anakin is our friend, and we will be leaving with him no matter what his destiny may be," she declared fiercely. The determination in her voice matched the fire in her eyes, and for a moment, even the Daughter faltered in the face of such unwavering loyalty.
With a heavy sigh, the daughter stepped aside, her voice trembling with sadness. "You're about to unleash something that will scar the galaxy forever, Dark One," she warned.
Obi-Wan snapped back at her in defense, "Her name is Nyx." As if on cue, they all began to pour into the grandeur of the palace.
Inside, they found Anakin engaged in deep conversation with the father. The sound of their entrance made him turn around and his sapphire eyes lit up like twin stars at their sight. "Nyx! Master!" He called out excitedly as he dashed towards them. Upon reaching them, he wrapped them in a warm embrace which Nyx returned wholeheartedly.
Ahsoka could only shake her head at this display of affection but nonetheless joined in the group hug.
The father let out a resigned sigh as he watched them. "I see you've chosen your destiny then... and it's not here anyway," he said solemnly before bowing his head in respect. His parting words echoed through the hall: "May the Force be with you."
And then darkness flared around them like an ominous storm brewing on the horizon.
