Chapter 1: The Village Boy

In a tiny village between high hills and rivers, there lived a boy named Lin Chen. He was just like the other kids there, but he had big dreams. Lin Chen wished to become a strong cultivator—a person who could control spiritual energy and do amazing things.

His village was very simple. Most of the villagers worked as farmers or craftsmen, they lived quiet and happy lives. Lin Chen's family didn't have much money, but they loved each other a lot. Every day, Lin Chen helped his parents on the farm. He sowed seeds, cared for animals, and brought water from the river.

One evening, after finishing his work, Lin Chen sat by the river. He watched the sun going down. He dreamt of leaving the village behind and joining an amazing sect—a place where cultivators train hard to be the best. Stories about these sects, Lin Chan heard from traveling merchants who visited their village. They talked about the incredible skills and magical powers of the cultivators, which seemed just like fairy tales.

Lin Chen wished to leave his small village and learn how to use spiritual energy in these sects. He understood that being a cultivator could change everything for him and his family. They could live a better life with the respect and the wealth that came along with being a cultivator.

Then one day, something wonderful happened! A powerful cultivator named Master Wu came to their village. He was looking for young people with talent to join his Spirit Awakening sect. When Lin Chen heard this, he felt his heart racing with excitement; this was the moment he had been dreaming about!

Master Wu stood in the village square and shared his news with everyone. He said that he was searching for young people to join his sect and train as strong cultivators. Lin Chen's eyes lit up with hope as he listened closely to Master Wu. This was it—his chance!

All the villagers were excited and many parents hoped their kids would be chosen. Lin Chen's mom and dad understood how much this meant to him, but they also feared losing their son.

With both excitement and nervousness swirling inside him, Lin Chen approached Master Wu. He introduced himself and then told Master Wu about his dreams. Master Wu listened carefully and smiled back at him! He saw the determination in Lin Chen's eye and knew that the boy had potential.

Master Wu said first, Lin Chen would need to pass some hard tests before joining the Spirit Awakening sect. "No problem," said Lin Chen. He was ready for it. He promised himself to give his all to pass the tests and show them that he was worthy. That night, sleep didn't come easily, thoughts swirled around in his head about those tests and what lay ahead.

The next morning, Lin Chen set off with Master Wu. There were tears as he said goodbye to his family but made a promise—he would return with success! As he left the village behind, he looked back once more, he felt excitement with sadness.

He knew that the road ahead wouldn't be easy for him, but Lin Chen was determined to succeed! He was ready to take the first step towards of becoming a powerful cultivator.
