Rimuru's POV:
Walking through the spiritual world was supposed to be relaxing, but after all that debate with Ciel about the structure of timelines, imaginary spaces, and the nature of dimensionality, my head was spinning. Not that I didn’t enjoy a good intellectual discussion, but sometimes Ciel gets a bit *too* cheeky, teasing me about things like those ridiculous arguments from that site. I mean, come on—4D versus infinite 3D? How do they not see how flawed that is? Still, thinking back to my days as Satoru Mikami, I couldn’t help but cringe a bit at how serious I used to take all those debates.
"<Master, are you feeling nostalgic about your days of ignorance?>" Ciel teased, her tone laced with amusement.
"Hey, I wasn’t that ignorant," I shot back. "It’s just that back then, I didn’t have access to infinite knowledge like I do now. A guy can only work with what he’s got, you know?"
"<Of course, Master. But you must admit, arguing over 'infinite 3D' being lesser than 4D was rather silly. Dimensionality is not defined by size alone; an infinite structure is not constrained by such terms.>"
"Okay, okay, you win," I sighed, scratching the back of my head. "That whole site was a clown show. What was the point in debating something as arbitrary as whether infinite universes fit into a '4D structure'? They don’t even understand what infinite means if they’re thinking like that."
Ramiris, who was floating beside us, cut into the conversation, looking visibly annoyed. "Ugh, will you two *stop* with the boring talk already! I’m still stuck like this!" She waved her tiny arms, her fairy form only three inches tall as usual. "Why do I always have to be the tiny one when all of you are walking around in normal human forms? It’s not fair!"
I grinned, teasing her. "Well, you *could* use an avatar core, like the one I made for you. It’s not like you can’t change your shape. You used it last time to prank those adventurers in the Labyrinth, remember?"
Ramiris puffed her cheeks, clearly not in the mood for my jokes. "But the avatar core leaves my real body defenseless! You know that! What if something happens to it while I’m out?"
"Relax, I can store it in my imaginary space if you're that worried," I replied casually, shrugging. "Or better yet, why not send it into the Labyrinth? I mean, isn’t that place basically indestructible at this point?"
"Still!" she protested. "It’s not the same. Besides, I don’t want to rely on you for everything."
Veldora, who had been quietly mumbling to himself, suddenly jumped into the conversation with his usual exuberance. "Hohoho! Don’t worry, Ramiris! Once we reach Earth, I’ll show you how a true dragon makes an entrance!" His eyes gleamed with excitement. "I’ll buy every manga I can find and set up my very own manga café. Then I’ll sell food there—ultimate combos, legendary snacks! It will be glorious!"
I chuckled at Veldora’s antics. The guy was hopelessly obsessed with his manga, and the idea of him running a café on Earth was… well, it was as ridiculous as it sounded. "You just want to read manga all day, don’t you?" I teased.
"N-No, of course not!" Veldora stammered, trying to maintain his air of pride. "I’ll be providing a valuable service! Everyone will flock to my café for the best food and manga recommendations!"
Milim, walking ahead of us, turned back with a gleam in her eye. "When we get to Earth, I’m gonna become a famous dancer! Maybe even a pop star! They have those there, right?"
"Uh, yeah," I said, trying to picture Milim as a pop star. She’d probably blow up half the stage with her enthusiasm alone. "That’s... an idea."
As we continued walking, I couldn't help but marvel at the absurdity of the situation. Here we were, beings of immense power, casually planning our next move like we were taking a vacation. Though in a way, I suppose we were.
Ciel’s voice echoed in my mind again, this time with a more serious tone. "<Master, I have calculated the logistics of transporting the entire Earth, along with its infinite timelines, into the imaginary space. It would take me approximately one second to analyze the best timeline to transport us to.>"
I raised an eyebrow. "One second? Are you sure that’s enough time?"
"<Of course,>" Ciel replied, with an air of smugness. "<Though the Earth’s timeline structures are similar to those of the Cardinal World, the imaginary space I manage is far more advanced. It can contain anything, without disrupting any natural laws. You could even summon past versions of yourself from various timelines without causing any paradoxes.>"
"That’s a pretty neat trick," I mused, imagining the possibilities. "It’s hard to believe I’ve got the entire Cardinal World inside my imaginary space now. The amount of control that gives me is insane."
"<Indeed, Master. And not only that—by absorbing both the spiritual and material aspects of the Cardinal World, you now have access to all its timelines. You can retrieve beings, objects, or even places from any point in history, or any alternate timeline, without disrupting the flow of time.>"
"Yeah, about that..." I said, turning to Ciel. "Are there any versions of *me* out there in the Cardinal World that have an imaginary space like this one?"
"<Only those who evolved into true dragons,>" Ciel explained, her tone matter-of-fact. "<However, most Rimurus did not reach that point in their timelines. Many of them were assisted by Chloe in their respective loops, preventing them from acquiring the necessary power to develop an imaginary space like yours. There are approximately ten million Rimurus across the infinite timelines who possess this ability, but none of them have reached the level of control you have.>"
"Ten million, huh? That's fewer than I expected," I muttered, crossing my arms. "So, none of them have the full evolution because Chloe's constantly resetting things?"
"<Correct,>" Ciel confirmed. "<In most cases, the Rimurus in other timelines either lack the Great Sage evolution into Raphael or fail to analyze the Infinite Prison. That’s why they haven’t achieved an imaginary space.>"
"Well, sucks to be them, I guess," I said with a smirk. "It’s kind of funny, though—here I am, with all these powers and abilities, while most of the other versions of me are still stuck playing catch-up. Makes me wonder if I should pay a visit to one of them."
"<If you wish, I can bring one of those timelines here, into your imaginary space,>" Ciel offered. "<It would be a trivial task.>"
"Maybe later," I said, waving off the idea. "For now, let’s just focus on getting to Earth. There’s infinite timelines there too, right?"
"<Indeed,>" Ciel replied. "<Just like the Cardinal World, Earth has an infinite number of timelines, each with its own unique variations.>"
I grinned. "Good. Then let’s find the most interesting one."
Veldora was still rambling on about his manga plans, and Milim was already plotting her pop star career. Ramiris, meanwhile, was pouting, still annoyed about her fairy form.
With a sigh, I turned back to Ciel. "You know, sometimes I wonder if these guys even realize how powerful they are."
"<They do,>" Ciel said with a hint of amusement. "<They just choose to have fun with it. Like you.>"
Touché, Ciel. Touché.
