OLD FRIENDS -- 1

Laila Petrova ran away from her family in the year 1252, she was 18 when she went to a dance, met 2 men who both wanted a dance. After a dance with a man named Kol Mikealson, she goes home.

However that day changed her life. She went home and her father. He wasn't usual. He wasn't her father. He was holding a knife as he turned to Laila, he than ran the knife across her throat, she died.

Until, she awoke. 5 hours later. It was 3am, and she stood up and ran her hand over the blood on her neck, she wasn't a vampire. She was normal, how is she alive?

Its now 2010, and she's back. She returns for a small reunion with 2 olf friends who she helped run from the originals, Rose and Trevor.

She walks into their house silently, she can hear talking from upstairs, that's when she quickly appears behind Rose when they're talking about Katherine.

Rose speaks. "He made the same mistake countless others did. He trusted Katerina Petrova." None of them had realised Laila behind them.

Elena turns to Rose, "Katherine." She says in a quiet tone.

Rose nods, "the one and only. The first Petrova doppelganger."

That's when laila drops a book, "wrong." She says, "forget about me Rose?" Everyone's head turns to face Laila, Elena is shocked. Rose looks at her, "Laila."

Laila smiles and nods. "It's me. The forgotten one as always."

Rose nods, "well, good to see you again."

Laila let's out a small "hm." And then turns to Trevor, "so what are you two up to now?" She says whilst walking around a table.

Rose speaks from behind Laila now, "petrova doppelganger, the sun and moon curse. We're using her, as our way out of running."

Laila looks at Elena, before turning to Rose, "Good thinking. But why not just kill her now? After all she looks very defenseless." Laila smirks.

Trevor speaks up, "were using her as bait. We need her alive for Elijah to take her."

Laila rolls her eyes, "the one and only Elijah. Gone with the easy one have you?"

Rose shrugs, "it seemed best to get us out, sure as hell Klaus won't let us out of running."

Laila nods, and steps closer to Elena. Rose and Trevor walk out of the room, leaving the two doppelgangers alone. Laila steps infront of Elena, looking at her face in curiosity. Laila runs her hand over the blood on Elenas shirt from the wound on her arm, Laila brings her fingers to her nose as she smells the blood.

She sighs and wipes the blood on the table next to her, "so your the most recent one. Human I can tell. You're playing with the wrong people hon. Trust me. I found out the hard way. Try having your own father kill you. Not cool."

Elena swallows as she holds her wounded arm, "so you're a vampire too?"

Laila laughs out loud by accident, "me? A vampire? Please─ no I am not. I can't imagine being one of those. Drinking blood." She pulls a disgusted face and walks over to a couch.

Elena sits down on the couch annoyed at Rose and Trevor. Laila sits next to her, Elena looks at her. Debating whether to ask a question, she finally decides and speaks up, "so what are you then? You said that you were killed. So how are you alive?"
