Nine

[ Miguel's POV ]

Miguel and Johnny were sitting on the edge of the pavement.

"Sensei? When did you fall in love with Val?"

"Well I think I've always been in love with Val. It was the summer of 82. Me, Bobby and Dutch were at the beach you know hanging out. Then that's when I saw her. Val. She was beautiful that's for sure. But she had this laugh and smile. That could light up the whole world."

"She was with her best friend Chase he was playing soccer with some other guys so she was sitting down watching them. I went up to her and started to flirt with her. But then it turns out she was Bobby's sister. So he got pissed at me and we started to fight each other. Eventually Val got tired of us fighting. So she pushed us into the ocean. It then turned into this whole water fight. We then went over to Vals and Bobby's place to get dried up. Their dad made us hot chocolate but then we ended up jumping in the pool"

Johnny said laughing remembering all the memories.

"Sounded like fun." Miguel said smiling

"Yeah. It was one of the best days in my life. I didn't know it then but I was completely in love with Val. I think the moment I finally knew I was in love with Val was on her birthday. Bobby, Lola, Aubrey, Chase, Dutch, and even Ali ali were telling me how Val was in love with me and I was in love with Val. And it all made sense all these feelings I felt for her was because I was in love with her."

"So did you tell her you loved her?" Miguel asked

"Yeah. I did. I told her how I felt about her. And that i was in love with her. And she felt the same. It felt like my heart was healed from that day. And there was also a moment. When I knew that I never wanted to loose Val. It was after the all Valley in 84. I just lost to LaRusso so my sensei he kicked me off the team and all I knew I just wanted to be with Val. So I walked all the way to her house and she was there for me. And I felt so much better being with her. I didn't care that I was kicked off the team or that I lost to LaRusso because I knew Val was by my side. But now. She's gone. I lost her."

Johnny looked down drinking his beer.

Miguel gave Johnny a sympathetic look.

"Did you ever thought of going to New York to see her?"

"Everyday. But it's not like I have the money for it."

"Do you think Val would ever come back to the Valley?"

"Honestly, I don't know. But there could be some hope."

Lacys POV

Lacy was in her backyard tanning on the deck chair by the pool.

She then heard a rustling noise

Lacy opened her eyes to see a boy her age and he was cute she had to admit.

"Um hi." Lacy got up confused

"Hi um sorry for intruding but I'm looking for Ms Dupre? I need to drop something off."

"Oh you're working with Mr LaRusso. My mom said one of you guys would come over to drop something um she's running some errands but I can take that for you." Lacy said smiling
