"Hey Jennie "

"Oh hi"

Jennie waved awkwardly as she greeted Jungkook and Taehyung.

Jungkook smiled, but Taehyung seemed a bit distant, he just nodded his head at her.

Jennie tried to make eye contact with Taehyung, but he didn't seem interested.

The silence was a little awkward until Taehyung finally spoke. "Well, I'm heading to my cabin," he said and walked away without even looking at Jennie.

Jungkook chuckled, trying to lighten the mood. "Well, he got off on the wrong side, I guess."

Jennie just smiled.

"I've got work, and I'm heading to breakfast. See you later!, I guess" Jennie said as she started to leave.

Jungkook smiled brightly. "See you later, Jennie!" he said, watching her go.

He sighed and headed to the elevator.

When Jungkook got back to the office, he closed the door and asked Taehyung, "What's wrong with you?" Taehyung looked up from his laptop.

"Nothing, I just had some work to finish."

"That was kinda rude," Jungkook said, taking off his jacket. They shared an office. Taehyung shrugged and kept working.

Jungkook shook his head but smiled, thinking about how great Jennie looked today. He started to work, grinning like a goofball.

Taehyung was totally beat after hours of work. He stretched, groaning as his muscles complained about being stuck in one position for so long.

He rolled his shoulders, trying to get rid of the tension. He grabbed a pile of paperwork and stood up.

"Gotta give these to Mr. Lim. Need anything?" he asked Jungkook, who was busy on his laptop.

"Nope, thanks."

Taehyung shrugged, his usual chill vibe, and headed out to Mr. Lim's office.

He gave the papers to his boss and they chatted about work stuff for a bit.

As he was about to go back to his desk, he saw Jennie getting off the elevator.

He smiled when their eyes met, but he was about to turn away when she spoke.

"Taehyung?"

He turned back, trying to act cool, and stuck his hands in his pockets.

"Hey Jennie, how's it going?" he said, trying to sound casual. Jennie smiled back, but Taehyung could tell it wasn't exactly genuine.

"Can we-can we talk for a sec? I promise it won't take long." she asked nicely.

Taehyung was about to say no, but she quickly added, "I promise."

He nodded, not wanting to be rude. "Lead the way then," he said as Jennie gave a little smile. They walked to a big window with a killer view of the city.

Jennie turned to Taehyung, her face serious, her eyes intense. Taehyung met her gaze.

"What are you avoiding me for, Taehyung? Why?" Jennie asked, her voice all hurt, her eyes glued to his.
