The Sasquatch is a young and unique creature whom is unaware where the rest of where his tribal breed of creatures are located and has been since he was one year old. Feeling lonely and displaced, he roams the depth of the wild Australian bush searching for other Sasquatches like him. He has been living in his natural habitat the bushland among the rare animals of the Australian land his whole life which is apart of an 1000 acre National Park called " Natural Heritage Forest." This is his home, his habitat and all he has ever known.
This routine of everyday walking in the Australian bush land barefoot under the hot sun gets lonely sometimes. But he knows that when the sun eventually goes down, the moon will follow which is a time of mixed feelings for the Sasquatch. Especially tomorrow, as when the moon rises tomorrow night, not only will this mark his 10th Birthday but it will be a 10 year mark of being unable to find a friend...
Feeling extremely lonely most the time the Sasquatch spends his nights imaginatively whispering to the moon, pretending this star is listening to his words. Even though the moon never replies and is just a magical shape in the sky, the Sasquatch likes to think it hears him. The moon's reliability to appear every night is the
Sasquatch measurement of time to show the day is over. It's magical source of light during darkness that provides the Sasquatch with a symbol of hope. Every night before the Sasquatch sleeps he has an imaginary conversation with the moon and wishes for another Sasquatch's company by his 10th birthday. With his birthday being tomorrow he has just one day of hope remaining. However on the night before his birthday in addition to his 10th year in a row of not having company, he sees a shooting star for the first time after making this routine wish for a friend. He briefly wonders if the moon was listening and if this was its way of replying. Confused, he reminds himself he is tired, probably imagining things as he drifts off to sleep.
The next day he wakes up early due to the sun shining bright and the parrots chirping in the nearby trees. It officially is his 10th birthday. Because he sleeps on the ground and is immediately excited to start his birthday. He gets up commencing his morning routine quickly in a very typical way for his type of creature.
He brushes off the leaves and the dirt that the wind blew over him whilst he was asleep. He washes his fur with soil in the nearby smelly swamp, has a worm for breakfast, and mixes himself a milkshake composed of mud on a nearby rock he uses as a table. A great start to the first day of his birthday. He checks the nearby familiar tree (his favourite tree) that has been marked with clay. The tree has a series of marks showing his height spanding over his lifetime to help him reflect his growth that he records once a year. He marks todays height and realises he is officially 7 foot tall. Exactly 1 year ago on his 9th birthday he was only 6 foot tall.
Excited that he is getting bigger than most animals he's seen due to his breed of creature, he makes a loud burp which defines a proudness in Sasquatch culture, similar to applauding your success. Being 7 foot tall was a milestone making him bigger than a crocodile - the largest animal around. Suddenly, the excitement of his height and birthday slowly comes to a sudden halt. Although a mundane achievement, what the
Sasquatch really wanted was just to find a friend...
Slowly his emotions change as he becomes disappointed. Loud whining noises which is a cry typical for creatures of his kind is heard from his mouth and water drips from his eyes. He cries so heavily as this sound gradually become so loud it causes a stampede of wild kangaroos to hop away and birds to fly in the opposite direction far away from him. His eyes fill up with big tears that run down his hairy face and splash on the ground. The tears that touched the soil causes immediate imprints resulting in every ant in sight to quickly scatter away in order to stay dry. He was so disappointed, How hard was it to just have a friend?
He starts walking away from where he set up his Sasquatch camp that appears identical to a primitive cave man colony. Still angry, he begins stomping and feeling miserable and let down as he ruminated on his reality "10 years of age, 10 years of no friends." He repeated this to himself over and over tiring himself by his own thoughts. As he stomped away from his camp and the marked tree that represents his growth, he ruminates more and becomes intensely miserable engulfed in his disappointment. Madly walking and slamming each foot on the raw earth strongly, he stomps repeatedly through the forest. He notices the angrier he gets, the more force he uses in his step. Suddenly he stomps on some wet leaves causing his foot to wobble and he slips. He loses complete control of his balance and falls. Suddenly, the Sasquatch finds himself on the ground rolling down an unfamiliar mountain slope. Rolling at serious speed down the hill and squashing small plants along the way, the Sasquatch can't stop rolling and feeling dizzy in his vision and mind. Wombats, lizards, and other animals that reside in the soil feel the vibrations of the Sasquatch's fast paced rolling movement and hurry out of his way for safety. The Sasquatch finally slows down rolling onto a unusual type of hard surface. Feeling dizzy and sore (from all the plants he squashed into), he comes to a complete stop. He has finally reached a steady and horizontal position. Remaining stationary for a while untilhis vision stops spinning, he lays there noticing 3 large shapes in front of him coming into his view. When hestarts feeling more in control, his vision starts to refine. The large 3 shapes became less blurry and start toidentify as 3 large boulders. The Sasquatch has landed in unfamiliar surroundings.
Feeling confused and disorientated, the Sasquatch in unable to recognise his environment in sight. His head turns around and he starts taking notice of what's around him. Not only are there 3 boulders, but there's very very few trees, plants and natural flowers. He slowly notices there seems to be more rocks. Following a rectangular patch of black ground composed of a hard surface with smaller white rectangular lines within it.
A wooden sign next to it states 'VISITOR'S CARPARK.' Still lying down being sore from rolling over so many plants and unable to get up just yet, he notices some cuts and bruises peering through the hair on his long legs.
