She quickly resurfaced as she gasped for air. Her brown silky hair was stuck to her pale face . Her black swim suit that reached her mid thighs stuck to her body like second skin.
After she gained back enough air she looked up at the sky, closed her eyes and just smiled .
Most people found drowning or rather being the verge of drowning scary . But for her she found it peaceful , just the feeling of needing to breathe, needing to live, it gave her a type of excitement.
And therefore that's the reason why every morning she would wake up before anyone else in her little house and drive to the lake and swim till she was at the verge of drowning.
She opened her eyes as her thoughts came to a halt and her smile dropped. She turned around and looked everywhere around her frantically. Someone was here and watching her.
Which was suspicious because nobody came to this lake as it was at the end of town, isolated from the buildings and everyone. It took most people including her 5hours to drive to the lake and even so people were scared to go through all the forests they had to pass to find the lake as it was hidden in the bushes and trees.
Just then she heard the sound of a stick snapping behind her.She was too scared to look behind her as she held her breath.
"Don't be scared darling I'm just here to enjoy the view" She stilled still holding her breath refusing to look at the owner of the voice .
Some moments later she heard footsteps sounding walking somewhere else not too far from the lake. The she heard a sigh.
Deciding that the situation is awkward and she had to go home to prepare for her morning classes she got out of the lake still refusing to look up.
"Leaving already?"
Finally she looked up to owner of the voice, detailed tattoos from his neck going to his hands,black silky hairr that was freshly cut and milky clear skin,
it was fair to say the stranger was good looking,hot actually and he looked a bit older than her.
She reluctantly turned her gaze to the clothes she brought then proceeding to put them over her swim suit. " I just came here for a little swim,can I ask what are you doing here?"
"Just came to clear my mind Princess"
He said as he kept his blue eyes trained on the sky. After a few moments of silence that just consisted of the sound of her putting in her clothes he also stood up.
"What's your name?" "Rose" She answered. "That's a beautiful name" she looked down at her shoes trying to hide her pink cheeks. "Thank you,what's yours?"
"Kaiser, call me Kai" She pressed her lips together as they fell into a comfortable silence. "Well I better head back home"
"Okay it was nice meeting you I hope we can meet again " she blushed once again.
"Yeah I'll see you around "

She closed the door to her red mercedes as she walked to the house, before she could open the door she was greeted with her mother's worried face. "Rose where have you been,me and your father were worried sick" She was very confused because her parents never questioned her about her whereabouts.
"What?I-I was just taking a drive mom"
"Haven't you heard about the killer on the loose?!" Her mom shouted. Before she had time to respond her mom dragged her to the sitting room where her father sat watching the news.
"The killer who has been reported to allegedly kill two people today was last seen leaving town heading to the outside of town,the police say it has been difficult to track him since no one knows where he was really heading and no one has seen his face for he was wearing a mask ."
"Yes Lia I am her with the Lingston police team at the old abandoned lake just on the way outside town,this is the only place where the police have found so much as footsteps "
Her ears tuned out what she was hearing as she stood frozen.
