I smiled at her, Lucy, she is amazing. Though my head throbbed from where she'd kicked me I still smiled.
"I got a job request for us." Her eyes lit up like they did every time I mentioned money. I stooped down a reached under the bed for the flyer, but it wasn't there.
"Happy!" He didn't respond but I heard the curtain giggle. I paced towards the curtain, carful to keep my footsteps light, and I grabbed it.
"Natsu! No fair!" Happy pouted on the floor. I smiled at him.
"Sorry little buddy," I laughed. "I kinda need this." He kept pouting but he was hiding a smile. I turned back to Lucy and she was changed.
"Um, Lucy..."
"Yeah, yeah whatever," she grumbled. I pressed the job request into her hand. I thought her eyes were going to pop out of her head.
"2 million jewel?!"
I laughed a little.
"Yeah, pretty sweet, huh?"
She laughed so hard I thought she was drunk for a split second. Apparently I was looking at her weirdly because she poked me and said,
"When do you want to leave? How about tomorrow morning? Afternoon?"
I thought for a second.
"How about... Now." I grabbed my pack, her wrist and yelled,
"Happy!"
"Aye sir!" Was his always chipper response. Lucy screamed and Happy slowly floated us down to the ground.
"NATSU!" Lucy exclaimed, clearly unhappy to be dragged out of her home through the window. I started running, partially because I was mildly afraid of what she would do, and partially because I knew it was the only way she would follow me. After maybe ten seconds she started chasing after me and I slowed down to let her catch up a little. She sped up and scowled at me.
