"Oh, great Anubis please let my husband be able to reach and join the heavens" a middle-aged women speak as she burns her husband body and places a wood necklace on his ash's. "He may not be wealthy, but he is of good heart. The women prays and leaves after the body is left as a few embers She sigh and walks back to her home miles away from her husband grave. Meanwhile in the underworld "Next" a man with the face of jackal and the body of a man speaks." Next is the mortal named Badru" another man speaks seeming to be the earlier man's servant. "He is poor with nothing to call his own Anubis "the servant spoke." Very well" Anubis spoke" Mahmoud bring me the scale". Mahmoud would give him the weighting scale. "Mortal' Anubis spoke. "Come closer "the human walked closer

to him. Abius then grabbed a heart out of thin air that was the mortal heart and a feather and placed it on the scale. This was to see if the mortal deserved to go to heaven. The scale would go up and down between the heart and the feather and after a few boring uneventful minutes he came to a conclusion. "You're free to go to the heavens "he picked the weighted scale and gave it back to his servant. "You may leave through those doors" he pointed to two big clay doors with symbols on it. The human prayed" oh thank you Anubis" I promise I will do no bad in the afterlife". The human walked through the doors and walked through the doors into heavens. Anubis sighs "the death rates have been getting lower and lower with these new advancements the mortals create"." I'm sure it will be fine the humans rely on you, so they don't die as the dammed". Mahmoud spoke. As the death rates got lower and lower it became day, months to years. to centuries without seeing a single dead soul eventually humans stopped believing in them and evolved and had smarter ways to do their jobs quicker and effortlessly. This cause some god to just give up and sleep away in sarcophaguses admitting they were no longer needed. At least not for some Millenniums
