"So, what is happening over here?" Vivek asked her, while doing the surgery.

"What do you mean?" Aadhyaa asked, feinting confusion, while she overlooked him doing the surgery.

"Whatever is happening around you. That is what I am referring to." He replied. He sighed while she continued keeping a confused face. "Why are you talking as if you don't know anyone in that family?"

"We can discuss this later, ask anything you want." She said hurriedly, eyeing the assistants around them. He nodded and continued.

"Okay, why were you out of contact for the last 7 years?" He asked, while focusing on the surgery.

"I just lost contact with you all, except Mayank. Mayank and I both joined the same college, finished degrees and joined as interns in the same hospital too. Then we ended up opening this group of hospitals together. It's name is a mashup of both our names." She answered him, while handling the suction.

"I understand how close you and Mayank are, but my question here is that, why didn't you continue contact with us, your other friends?" He asked, with a hint of anger in his tone.

"You know the answer, yet you question me." She said, making Vivek's temper snap.

"Am I or Prakash or even Riteish that much unimportant to follow your 'period friendship'? Is that how we were? Is that how loose our bond was?" He asked, while staring at her eyes, halting his work. She eyed him to continue and answered.

"It is not a matter of importance, I just start feeling distant after we move away, not being face to face. We have different schedules, we have various pending works, we have other commitments so I have no idea when to call or when to talk. And at a point of time, it just feels like I am the one trying too hard and there is no response from the other end." She said in one go.

"Look, it wouldn't hurt to schedule a call every 15 days. We can schedule it up earlier, seeing commitments and even alter if there is an unexpected item on the agenda that overlaps. Dharini, Samhithi, they all miss you and Mayank." Vivek said, sighing. "If you don't wanna talk with the others, at least our gang would call right?"

"I never have a schedule. Loads of things pop up for me unexpectedly. If overworking was a person, it would be me. I didn't even come to Bangalore for 4.5 years. Leave Bangalore, sometimes, I don't even go back to my house for a few days, if I am working. Do you know how long it took Mayank to make me come here?" She said, explaining her lifestyle to him.

"Well, overworking isn't good, so how about you stop that and start connecting with us." Vivek said, almost yelling at her.

"I can try, but no guarantee." She agreed finally, while Vivek had finished the surgery.

"Good, so the first thing I will do is create 2 group chats, one for our gang and another including Samhithi, Dharini and Shaanvi." He said, while walking out of the OT with her. She nodded slowly and both of them chatted while walking out.

"The surgery was very successful, he is safe now. Next, I will be doing his heart surgery in 10 mins, then the brain injury will be dealt with." Aadhyaa informed the family while Vivek stood beside her, and explained the post Op procedure after she finished.

"So, now tell me. Why the acting ?" Vivek asked her, while both of them were seated in her office.

"I am the patient's own sister, Doctors cannot operate on family. Rules of medicine." She stated, while taking a sip of her coffee.

"Then why do the surgery, why not someone else." He asked, drinking from his mug.

"I am one of the best in the field, 5th position in top 10 heart surgeons in Asia and Europe continents. I only wish the best to treat my brother for all of his injuries, that's why I contacted you and asked Mayank to fly here from Delhi." She said casually.

"So you guys live in Delhi? Why?" Vivek said, after agreeing with her reason.

"The first and main branch of the Aadhyank group is in Delhi. It is the HQ, so it only makes sense for the founders to be there." She replied. Both of them were taking a break before she had to go for surgery, when the cabin door opened and Mayank rushed in with Anyra behind him.

He came over and gave her a tight hug. He broke the hug and Anyra engulfed her.

"Are you okay?" She whispered in her ears, while Aadhyaa tightened the hug as a response.

Mayank was looking at his girls, while he felt a tap on his shoulder. He turned to find his old friend glaring at him.

"Dei, Vivek!" He exclaimed in joy and embraced him, while Vivek smiled and hugged him back.

They all broke the hug and settled down. They were catching up on their lives when Alok entered after knocking.

"Ma'am, the OT is prepped, you should leave." He informed her and left.

She got ready with quivering hands while the others gave her an encouraging smile and she felt better. She left for the OT while the others continued talking with silent prayers going on in their minds.
