Do Love Me Again
Chapter 1: The Rain and the Broken Heart
The rain was falling outside Clara's small apartment window, each drop mirroring the pain she felt inside. Her heart, a shattered mirror, reflected the love that had been lost. She sat alone, in her favorite corner, her eyes fixed on the dark sky.
"Do love me again?" she whispered, her voice barely audible.
The question hung in the air, unanswered. The only sound was the relentless drumming of the rain against the glass.
It had been a year since Mark had left. A year since their dreams of a future together had shattered. Mark, her first love, the man who had painted her world with vibrant colors. The man who had taught her how to love and how to get hurt.
She still remembered the day they met. Mark, a simple college student, sat in a corner of the library, quietly reading. She saw his handsome face, his gentle eyes, and his captivating smile. From that moment, they were inseparable.
They spent years together. They traveled, laughed, cried, and loved. But their story didn't have a happy ending.
Their separation was painful. Mark was the one who decided. He said he needed to focus on his career, that he wasn't ready for a serious relationship. She tried to believe him, but deep down, she knew it wasn't the real reason.
The first few months were hard. Clara was heartbroken, lonely, and confused. But slowly, she started to move on. She focused on her work, her friends, and her dreams.
But every time she thought she was okay, a memory of Mark would come flooding back, reminding her of what she had lost. Their laughter, their hugs, their dreams.
Now, as she sat there, watching the rain, she couldn't help but wonder if Mark ever thought about her. Did he miss her the way she missed him?
Maybe it was just a foolish hope, a desperate plea from a broken heart. But she couldn't help but ask, "Do love me again?"
She knew the answer would always be silence. But she hoped, just hoped, that the echo of her question would reach him, somewhere in the depths of his heart. And maybe, someday, he would answer.
Until then, she would keep asking, keep hoping, and keep loving Mark. Even if it was just a dream.
To be continued...
Author's Note: This is just the beginning of Clara and Mark's story. Will they find their way back to each other? Or will their love remain a painful memory? Stay tuned for the next chapter!
