Atharva was known around campus for his easygoing nature and academic brilliance. He wasn’t one to seek the spotlight, yet somehow it always seemed to find him. Hania, on the other hand, had just transferred to the college. Her quiet elegance, coupled with her fierce independence, drew attention without her ever trying. She wasn’t interested in fleeting college flings or attention. Her focus was on her goals, but fate had something else in mind.

It was during a breezy afternoon on the campus lawn when their paths first crossed. Atharva, balancing his coffee and a stack of books, collided with Hania, who was preoccupied with her phone. In an instant, books scattered across the grass, and Atharva’s coffee threatened to ruin Hania’s dress. Flustered, he quickly apologized, stooping to gather his books.

"I'm sorry! I didn't see you coming," Atharva said, his eyes filled with genuine concern.

Hania brushed it off with a small smile. "It's fine. No harm done."

As she helped him gather the scattered pages of notes, their fingers brushed for a fleeting moment. It was brief, but enough to make both of them pause. Neither of them acknowledged the electricity of that instant, yet it lingered in the air long after they parted ways.
