𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗿:

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲

Obi-Wan had been right.

Two days was flying by quicker than a podracing event during a snowstorm on Improcco. Alessia could hardly even remember everything they'd covered in the last ten minutes, let alone the previous thirty-some-odd hours.

It had been determined that she would travel alongside Obi-Wan, Pate, and several others to wherever it was that General Skywalker had been keeping-- she hadn't been informed on that yet-- come tomorrow morning.

Unfortunately, it did not come down to her own readiness.

If that were the case, it would take another week before she was deemed prepared enough to join Anakin and his battalion. She simply was having trouble using her Force connection to manipulate the movement of objects.

Yesterday, she succeeded in jumping an additional foot in the air than she typically would but was almost instantly exhausted from the excess she was not used to.

Instead, he apparently contacted Obi-Wan via comlinks last night, telling him that if Alessia were to arrive later than this coming Thursday, which was tomorrow, he would no longer be training her. According to him, he didn't have "the time to waste".

She figured that it was a dig at Master Yoda, but nonetheless it meant that Alessia was underprepared for joining her new Master and that made her more nervous than she already was. Not that Anakin Skywalker could defy Master Yoda, though.

Adding onto her nerves simmering at the seams, however?

Her midi-chlorian results.

"Don't stress," Obi-Wan said, walking around her in a slow circle inside of the training room they'd spent nearly every waking moment inside of.

Alessia huffed, "I'm not. I'm just frustrated."

"Well, it can't be hunger this time. We just ate an hour ago, and--"

"It isn't," she snapped at him, almost immediately feeling bad when his brows rose and he stopped his pacing steps. "I'm sorry."

Her sigh caused him to soften his features.

"You're holding yourself back. What is it? Is it the team recovering your items? They'll be back in the next two hours, so you don't need to worry about that."

Alessia shook her head, closing her eyes and palming her forehead. Everything was already so foreign here, and now she had this burden over her head about being an informal Padawan, carrying a man's reputation who she hadn't even physically met, and managing to control her Force connection all at once.

Not to mention the demanding fact of her results nearly two days ago, which still had her floored and unable to comprehend the implications.

These feelings seemed to rub off on Obi-Wan as he let out a sigh, Alessia's gaze snapping open to watch realization dawn upon him.

"I see," he muttered. "I will admit, it was intimidating to look at even for myself. But as I said before, your results don't determine anything for you besides your connection. You just need to master that."

"Master Yoda's reaction was not very comforting," Alessia admitted with a humorless laugh, looking around the room to avoid Obi-Wan's eyes.

"Yes, well, he was only shocked that our theory was correct all along. He meant nothing by it, I assure you. It takes a lot to take Master Yoda by surprise. Your results was just one of them."
