Nico/Percy/3p POV

I sat up, dazed.

Holy shit, that hurt.

I looked up just in time to see Kronos' head explode, blood, brain and bone flying everywhere.

I shifted my gaze away.

Gross.

Standing up, I shook my head to get rid of my blurry vision.

For once, it worked.

"Percy?"

He turned to look at me, the expression on his face one of horror.

"You alright?"

"Yeah.. just.." he trailed off and shuddered.

"Just?"

He cleared his throat. "Are you okay? You got thrown into that tree pretty hard..."

"Stop changing the subject."

"Oh, look, the archers are getting overwhelmed- let's go and help them!"

I sighed and shook my head again, this time in frustration.

You will never meet someone as stubborn as Perseus Jackson.

The son of Poseidon sprinted up the hill, gathering the energy from gods-know where.

I followed at a more reasonable pace, catching up to see the demigod fighting like a demon.

His sword was covered in monster dust, and his eyes were slightly unfocused as he hacked at the monsters.

I decapitated a hellhound as it lunged at me, not really paying attention to it.

"Perce? Oi, earth to Percy."

He blinked, running a dracnae through. "Yeah?"

"You looked zoned out."

"I was thinking."

Thinking? Who was time to think in a war?

"Me."

"Shit, I said that out loud?"

"Mhmm."

His attention shifted from me to the campers, who seemed to have successfully taken down the remaining troops.

I glanced at him as he hummed in soft approval.

Approval?

~Percy POV~

I examined the damage.

No one seemed to be dead.

There were a couple that were injured, but from what I could see, nothing serious.

Humming softly, I ignored Nico's confused stare and started down the hill once more.

My step count's gonna be pretty high today, that's for sure.

Then the sky darkened, and a massive ravine opened in the ground, sending demigods sprawling left and right in an attempt to avoid falling in.

"Foolish titans..."

It was Nyx.

"I know. An idiotic breed."

And there was Tartarus, looking as whirlpool-y as ever.

"Hey, big scary primordials! I know you love dramatic entrances, I mean, I do too, but uh, maybe close the massive crack in the floor? Thanks."

Nyx raised an eyebrow, but waved her hand, sending the two walls of dirt crashing back together.
