After the birth of their beautiful daughter Sarada Uchiha, Sakura thanked Karin warmly for helping them so much. Without her, she didn't know whether she would've been able to make it through the draining process. Sasuke was really thankful as well, but he never once offered the redhead more than a curt nod. He was far too occupied with his wife and their sleeping daughter in her arms.

Sasuke's former team made sure they were taken care of, especially Sakura, before eventually giving in to the ravenhead's complaints and impatience and allowed them to leave the hideout. While Karin spent most of her time right by Sakura and Sarada, Suigetsu and Jugo enjoyed their limited time with Sasuke, who seemed annoyed but enjoyed the refreshing motivation of his teammates just a bit.

Now, the couple was finally near the Hidden Leaf. They had travelled at a slower pace due to Sakura's slight soreness and the presence of their little daughter, which was why it took them a bit longer to get through the forests and valleys. Not that they minded though - the many breaks they took were a perfect opportunity for getting to know their daughter.

Sarada didn't sleep very much - she was currently comfortably cuddled up into many soft cloths and was being cradled in the arms of her mother, while her father was feeding the tired woman. The small baby was staring up at her parents with her huge dark eyes, which looked so much like Sasuke's, and didn't even think of falling asleep or crying.

As Sakura munched on one of their last food pills, Sasuke smiled fondly at their daughter. He poked her chubby cheek ever so gently, averting Sarada's attention solely on him. She blinked innocently, not understanding what her father was doing, but seemed curious nevertheless.

"She's so curious," Sakura mumbled quietly, leaning down and kissing their daughter's tiny forehead ever so gently, "I'm sure she'll be as smart as her Papa when she's older." Her husband chuckled a bit, shaking his head and nudging his wife gently.

"You're the smarter one," his voice was a loving whisper as he woke, "and the stronger one, too." Sasuke's mood had been lighter since the birth of their daughter, and Sakura often caught him smiling or sometimes even snickering, especially when spending time with their daughter.

Sakura blushed softly, tilting her head up to kiss her husband's cheek gently before they stood up again, ready to continue their journey back home. With Sasuke's arm comfortably wrapped around her waist to steady her, they made their way through the paths of the Land of Fire, together with their adorable daughter.

As the huge gate of the Hidden Leaf came into view, Sakura felt incredibly emotional. She'd been built close by the water ever since she was a child, but now that she was a mother too, she would cry very easily. Additionally, the couple planned to surprise their friends - thus, they didn't announce their return nor Sarada's birth through one of their regular letters.

The couple stepped into the village together, and they felt as if they were young Ge-Nin again, returning from a mission together. But this time, it wasn't a horrible mission; it was the most beautiful one, because it included taking care of perfect little daughter.

Houses which looked so familiar, barely changed roads and the friendly mild breeze; it definitely was their home. And with each step they took, the excitement within the couple rose as well. People were beginning to notice them, and it definitely wouldn't take long for a certain Uzumaki and the Lord Sixth to notice.

As if on cue, said Naruto Uzumaki dashed around the corner, his face lit up in the brightest of grins as he practically galloped towards the couple. He had sensed his former teammates' Chakras from miles away, and he had already told everyone about it. They wanted to throw a party for them!
