EMBERLY

I woke up, held tightly. While I kinda felt constricted, I also felt comfortable considering the fact it was Mark. He gave me enough room to turn a tiny bit. I turned toward him and kissed his cheek, even with this I got the butterflies, they never seemed to stop. Then I ended up putting my ear to his heart. It helped kind of put me back to sleep. Just as I was about to pass out like a grizzly bear when winter rolls around, Mark, like winter, decided to roll around. He was now lying flat on his back, I could now see the full view of him, the sun came in through the window, lighting up my world, Mark himself.

Mark woke up awhile after rolling around, and he just stared at me. With this look of awe, kind of like how a little kid looks at a puppy which was ten times cuter when it was a grown man. He finally opened his mouth to speak, "what time is it, gorgeous?" He said, with the raspiest, deepest, and oh so attractive half asleepness. I got up, switching on the tv since my phone was in my suitcase. The small clock on the upper left hand corner said 7:52.

"Come back hereeee." He whined a tiny bit. "I'm coming, I'm coming. Stop your bitching." I giggled as I belly crawled through the poofy comforter and to my final destination, Mark's arm. It didn't take me long to realize he was shirtless and had been all night. I just kinda look down at him. And I noticed a scar. As soon as Mark noticed, he tried covering up nonchalantly. But how nonchalant is pulling the biggest comforter in the state of Ohio over yourself.

"Mark, what's the scar from?" He just shook his head, I knew he didn't want to talk about it. I sighed, pulling the comforter away from his body. His body wasn't generic looking, but it was perfect in its own ways. He looked shocked, that I'd even do this. But, I brought myself down to the scar. It ran along his belly button, vertically. In a way, it wasn't much in the fact that it was very faded. But, it still was there. I put my lips it, ever so slowly and gently, planting 4 kisses on it. He still looked shocked when I looked up to him. I awkwardly brought my face to his again. "Even though it's old and faded a bit, it's still there as much as you don't want it to be. But, it's just a scar. I kind of like it. It makes your body different." He looked down at me. "I just thought it wasn't attractive to girls and I mean everyone has made fun of me for it I didn't-" I stopped him, even though I loved hearing what he had to say. "Mark, I like you for you, not your body. But, have you seen yourself? You're perfect, like your body is really attractive. But so is your personality." He just smiled while his cheeks turned red and ran his hand through his hair. I smiled too, cause his was so damn contagious. "Guess what?" He asked excitedly wrapping his arms around me. "Hm?" I said closing my eyes. "You're gonna have the best day of your life EVEEEEER." He yelled poking at my sides. I laughed trying to stop him.

After our weird tickle fight, I was told to get dressed in most comfortable clothes and to take all the time I need, he's up to something and part of me wants it to be a surprise but I want to know what it is at the same time.

I grabbed a light blue kinda green shirt with sleeves that go to by elbow. It's a button up, it's so flowy and comfy. It has two pockets on both sides. I put on just a pair of plain old jeans and finally I started just blow drying my hair with plans to straighten it.

When I was about done getting ready, I heard Mark's mom calling for me? I walked out with my eyebrows, showing the confusion I felt, on my face. "Yes?" I asked as I walked into the kitchen where she stood looking out the window. "I heard you met my granddaughters?" She questioned in a nice tone with a small smile. I kinda see where Mark got his kindness from now. "I did, they are so so adorable. They all look kind of like you too." She nodded, "You know, they really enjoyed seeing you." I smiled, genuinely because honestly they all were Mark's family and I guess all my first impressions were great. Like I had hoped. "I'm so happy they did, they asked about Mark and I." I said finally, she looked at me and nodded. "Well, they are curious. Just like the rest of us. Are you thinking about it?" My heart was pounding ten times harder now, "yeah, just not yet. Him and I discussed it last night. I want to be able to see him, you know?" She smiled, "yes, of course. I'm just so happy he found you. He's had some bad luck with love." She shook her head in disapproval. "It's been hard, he started to give up. Wade and his friend Tyler tried setting him up with women but he wouldn't even go to the date. He just instantly assumed it'd go South." Just as she said that I heard a knock on the door, "I'll be right back." She said as she walked over to it. I could barely see from here but I still couldn't make out who exactly it was. She was blonde, and looked young. By the look on his moms face, I knew this couldn't be good. I stood back and observed.
