"One dark and stormy night" Joey said before being interrupted. "Bro that was corny as fuck" I chuckled out.  "Oh okay Mr.Fucking Writer, do you have something better or will you shut th-" Then a loud crash erupted from downstairs and sounded as if glass broke. Like normal people, we all jumped at the suddenness of the sound. "What the fuck was that!?" I asked but of course got no response from the group. "I feel stupid enough to check it out, anyone want to join me?" My friend Simon said trying not to sound scared. Of course he failed in trying because I went along to make him feel... Safe. "Fine I'll go you quivering pussy." I said with regret in my voice. "Wow, thanks... asshole." I got to my feet and started to walk to the door. As we walked down the stairs I had a strange and unsettling feeling go up and down my spine. I could have sworn I was being watched. But just as sudden as it appeared, it disappeared. About a minute or two we found what the crash was, it was the window in the kitchen. The weird thing was it looked broken from... the inside? "Hey Simon. Look at this, it looks like it was-" I wasn't even able to complete my sentence before my friend Karen screamed from the room. As we rushed to see what happened we heard a thud from the same room. That same feeling I had before came rushing back ten fold. We burst through the door and all we see is Karen on the floor and Andre, Kem, and Alexis staring out the window. "Simon, get Karen out of here, I'll find out what happened." I say sternly. "What the fuck is so interesting enough that you'd just leave her past out on the floor." No response. I'm pissed now so I walk over to the window and finally see what it was that made Karen pass out. I couldn't blame her, I almost did. The sight of it almost made me loose my footing. It was a pile of torn skin and mangled organs out in the front lawn. The thing that made it worse was the fact the someone looked to be eating out of the pile. No, this sick fuck isn't human. It looks human from what I can see but I was looking at it from the back. Then in the most ungodly speed it reared its ugly fucking mug to us. It's teeth looked to be rotting in his mile wide smile, but that could be the flesh of its latest meal. Its skin had a sickly gray color, and its eyes were like glowing red slit in its face... Everywhere. I stumbled back a bit as it stood up, and then it lunged and slammed it body against the window, nearly breaking it. I feel on back, sadly the floor boards were weakened from the last 149 Lb and collapsed underneath me. Kem and I fell down. Kem only got a bruise but me on the other hand... I fractured my leg. Kem ran out, leaving me to try to crawl under the closest thing to me, a bed.  As I rested under the bed I couldn't help but analyze the situation. One friend goes missing and then that appears, eating someone. I don't think that "meal" of It was him though, Josh only went to the kitchen... where the shattered window was. As that final thought came to mind, Joey bursts through the door in a panic. It got in. He was trying to find a place to hide, so I motioned for him to hide with me. Big mistake. As soon as I put my hand out to get his attention, the door flew off its hinges and crushed his skull into the wall. I wasn't fast enough pulling my arm back under because it was grabbed instantly and I was yanked out from my hiding spot. If my fractured leg wasn't bad enough, my arm was dislocated by the force of the yank. "Hello, Sweet Prince, our little game of hide and go seek is finally over!" It says as it digs its claws into my stomach and dragging it to my rib cage.  And then I just woke up. My friend Emory looked to be scared, like he just awoke from a nightmare. He woke most of us up. I offered to get him water. "Yeah, that'll be great. Thank you Josh." I politely nodded as I walked out the room and headed to the kitchen. As I was getting the glass of water I heard something whisper in my ear. "So... when shall we begin?" It said, coming from my left ear. "Soon, but before we do I have to say something." It looked at me with a bit of curiosity. "Oh really? And what might that be?" "One of them will catch on to us. But enough of that. Let's begin." I say as I let the ethereal being change me into It. I've got to admit... The pain was worth the meal.
