Untitled Part 33

Britt brought Isabella and Angelica closer to Maxie and Nathan for their gifts.

Maxie helped the girls open their things and they got toys clothes and accessories.

The final gift was for Nathan and it had no name on it.

Maxie got worried it was a fake gift but once it was opened she realized it was a message from Liesl "My son if you see this I'm no longer with you. I will be watching you and Miss Jones from the afterlife. I miss you and I care for you deeply. Be good and do good. Merry Christmas Nathan."

Maxie hugged Nathan and said "That was sweet. I'm sorry she's gone. Well that's all the gifts."

Nathan "I have one more" kissing Maxie in front of the girls.

Georgie "Mommy dada kiss."

The following day Maxie woke up alone yet excited it was only 5 days until her wedding to Nathan West.

Britt helped with Isabella and Angelica to eat get changed and play until it was nap time.

At that point she set both girls near Maxie so they all could be close and Maxie could hold them.

At work Dante said "Well it's a day after we were supposed to die so they failed. Do you think they'd try again?"

Nathan "Honestly I don't know. I can only hope they don't. I have 5 days until my wedding. I'm not missing it."

Dante "Are we any closer to finding out who planted the bomb or who made it or who is behind the threat?"

Nathan "Not really. The lab techs are still running prints and any other evidence."

Dante "It'd be so nice if they could solve this before your wedding."

Nathan "I won't hold my breath."

Later that day Nathan walked into the apartment to see Maxie asleep on the couch with the twins and asked Britt "How long have they been asleep?"

Britt "About an hour."

Nathan "Thank you."

Maxie barely opened her eyes "Nathan?"

He looked at her saying "Go back to sleep. You need a lot of rest."

Nathan carried her into the bedroom and laid her on the bed before putting the twins in their cribs and kissing all the kids goodnight.

He climbed in next to Maxie and kissed her forehead and smiled.

24 hours later he came home from the PCPD again tired but still able to help move a sleeping Georgie the twins and Maxie.

With three days until the wedding Nathan Lulu and Dante were scrambling with the last minute things aside from the cake.

Maxie was at home with the kids and did all she could from there.

With Britt helping at home it was so much easier.

Two days before the wedding Maxie had to go get a check up and she had to stay in the hospital for observation.

Nathan asked "How long?"

Dr Curtis "As long as it takes to get her blood pressure and heart rate down and normalized."

Nathan "She could be by tomorrow right?"

Dr Curtis "She could be or she could be stuck here. It's all dependent on how fast she gets better."

Nathan "It has to be by tomorrow. I'm not postponing my wedding to her."
