Note: SORRY!!! I completely forgot about this story. I promise i'll be posting more consistently 😭anyways... here's chapter 3!!! I hope you like it cause im actually excited abt writing this one okay now i'll stop yapping

(Julia's POV)

It's been about 2 weeks since the.. sleep challenge incident, Merge just started, and wayne was the last person to get out. In the middle of the night, I wake up, extremely dehydrated. I get up to get myself a glass of water and check the time 3:57AM. The challenge is supposed to start at 5:00 today anyways, so I guess i can just get my water and start getting ready.

I walk into the cafeteria, and fill up my stanley. I look closely at the water, still terrified about the.. melatonin incident last episode. I reluctantly take a sip, and it tastes fine. I sit down in the cafe, and stare at my phone, all of a sudden I hear someone. I look up and guess who it is! Mk.

I look back at my phone, trying not to look at her, she's probably still mad at me. I mean, she should be! I get up and run out of the cafeteria, like an idiot. I start brushing out my hair, and get dressed, i check the time. 4:52!? I guess I spent a while on my phone. I do my makeup quickly and run out just in time for the challenge.

Chris starts off with his usual intro, "Alrighty campers, today's challenge is called, the obstacle of DOOM! You will have to go through a simple obstacle course, But, the fun part is, everything is GIANT! Extremely oversized, and covered in dawn dish soap plus water. Youll have to go through giant foam boulders, slide through a river of soap, and get through massive pool noodles, and So many other fun surprises! Obviously, we can't make this too easy on you. So, today's challenge is for TWO immunity's! You will be split into partners. That chef and I have obviously chosen. You will be stuck together by a giant handcuff wrapped around both of you. I'll reveal the partners now."

Well im glad he's choosing the partners. I have no friends here, so it'd be awkward standing around looking like a loser- "Julia will be with Mk," My thoughts are interrupted hearing my name. "What did you say!?" I shot a glare at chris.
"Okay princess. You can't yell at me like that! I said, JULIA IS WITH MK!"
I look over at Mk, she's looking at me. She looks just as agitated as I am. This is gonna be a terrible challenge.

We all group up with our partners, and get handcuffed together tightly, our shoulders just barely touching. I try not to look at her, as we get to the starting lines. This whole thing looks like a giant blow up obstacle course. Hopefully it won't pop.. or something.

As the challenge starts, both me and Mk run to the start. We climb up a giant latter, or, try to climb. It's covered in soap, causing us to fall multiple times. We eventually get to the top and there's a huge slip and slide, going down into a mud pit, which we have to crawl through.. gross.
We slide down, i scream the whole way. Not because of the fall, but because of the mud. We land, and im immediately covered

"EWEWEW IT GOT IN MY MOUTH!!!"
I scream, my hair dripping in mud and soap

I crawl through the mud, miserably, and make it to the next obstacle. Which is a maze of giant foam boulders, that we have to crawl through. I still haven't spoken to Mk at all, I look at her, she's focused on the obstacle course. I don't even realize the foam right in front of me-

WHAM!
I get whacked in the face, with a.. rock!? The interns are throwing ROCKS AT US!? I look around, everyone else is getting hit. Except Damien. He's getting through the course, his partner is scary girl. He drags her as she try's to grab a rock, he's doing.. surprisingly well. Before I can notice anymore Mk finally says something

"Can you focus on the challenge!? Damien and Scary-Girl are ahead of us now because of your day dreaming!"

"Geez sorry!"

I run along with her, she's not even looking at me. It's like she doesn't even care..? I realize how dumb I sound. I don't want her to care about me. Why would I expect her to?

The final challenge is a balance beam, easy enough. I did gymnastics for like.. a month. Until I got banned from the gym for attacking my teacher. Whatever, Me and Mk and Damien and Scary Girl are neck and neck, they are right on the beam next to us. All of a sudden. I see a group of.. old people? They are at the bottom, trying to drag me down.

Terrified, I speed up, trying to get through this quicker. I look down in the pit and see a bunch of random things, a gym rat, a bunch of spiders, a bear?? I walk faster, just trying to finish the challenge. At the end, Mk almost slips. But I grab her and pull her up. As we finish, I decide to say something

"A thank you would've been nice"

"What!?"

"I basically just saved you, and i get SILENCE."

"Oh like when I got "silence" from you for the entire first week we were here!?"

"well im SORRY I wanna focus on the challenge and not friends!"

"THEN FOCUS!"

I come to my senses and realize damien and scary girl are running to the finish line, shit.
We speed up, trying to catch up to them, but it's no use. They get past the finish line.

"And Damien and Scary Girl Take the win!"

Are you serious!? All that for nothing!? I can't believe this. We seriously lost. Because I decided to start an argument right at the end.. I look over at Mk, she's looking back at me. I feel awful. Why? I never feel bad for anything. Empathy is just an emotion I never had. I mean I probably don't feel bad for her just. That we lost. Yeah! Plus it wasn't my fault. Mk is so short she probably like slowed us down or something.

At the elimination ceremony, I come to realize most people are voting Emma. Apparently, she's a threat, somehow. I haven't really been focused this season. I probably should be, I mean since im gonna win and stuff. But whatever. As chris reads out the votes they're almost all for emma, except one for Raj, probably from emma and.. one for me? Whatever. Probably some dummie.. anyways. Emma gets out, and I go back to my cabin to sleep. I hear someone say my name, and I turn around.

It's mk?

"A sorry would've been nice"

She says, sarcastically

"Sorry? For what!?"

"For making us LOSE the game!"

"I didn't make us lose!"

"You started the most unnecessary argument ever."

"That wasn't my fault"

"Well you could still say sorry for ignoring me, and voting me, and focusing more on other people than challenges, and randomly ranting to me about how having friends will make you lose, and-"

"Okay I get it! I'm sorry. There. Is that what you wanna hear!?"

"Thank you!"

"Whatever."

I storm off, annoyed. How does she expect ME to say sorry to HER! I didn't do anything wrong! I can't believe this. All of a sudden I feel someone tap on my shoulder, I turn around nervously, it's.. bowie?

"What do you want."

"How come you haven't talked to Mk at all this season, except for arguing?"

"Because I don't want to."

"Because....."

"None of your business!"

"Okay sorry, I thought you guys were friends or something."

"I don't have friends here. It's total drama island, not total friendly bffs for life!"

I go into my cabin and slam the door. What buisness does he have talking to me about my personal life! I don't need a reason for him. I don't need a reason for anyone!

Me and Mk just, weren't meant to be friends. That's all
