Dear Haechan,
As I sit here waiting for my flight, I keep glancing at the clock, wishing time would slow down just a little. I'm both excited and terrified about this new chapter of my life. But no matter how far I go, you'll always be with me in my thoughts. I promise to write to you as often as I can, sharing everything about this new adventure. Remember, this distance is just a temporary challenge. Our love is strong enough to overcome it. I miss you already.
Yours always,
Mark

Mark stood at the airport terminal, his eyes fixed on the departure board. The flight to his new job overseas was just an hour away, and the reality of leaving behind everything he knew was starting to sink in. He took a deep breath, trying to steady his nerves.
Haechan was beside him, his hand clasped tightly in Mark's. The warmth of his touch was a comfort, a reminder of the love that had blossomed between them over the years. Mark turned to face him, taking in the tearful but determined expression on Haechan's face.
"We'll make it work," Haechan said softly, his voice wavering slightly. "Letters and calls, remember? Distance won't change what we have."
Mark nodded, though his heart ached at the thought of being apart. He brushed a stray lock of hair from Haechan's forehead and leaned in for a gentle kiss. It was a moment of tenderness, a silent promise sealed with a touch.
As they pulled away, Haechan reached into his bag and pulled out a small, leather-bound notebook. "I want you to have this," he said, handing it to Mark. "For your letters to me. Write everything you want to say. I'll keep it close and write back as often as I can."
Mark took the notebook, feeling the weight of it in his hands. It was a simple gesture, but it held so much meaning. "I'll fill every page," he promised, his voice thick with emotion.
The airport's PA system crackled to life, announcing the final boarding call for Mark's flight. He glanced at Haechan, seeing the mixture of pride and sadness in his eyes. "I should go," Mark said reluctantly. "But I'll be back before you know it."
Haechan nodded, though his eyes betrayed the sadness he was trying to hide. "I'll be here, waiting. And we'll get through this. Together."
They shared one last, lingering kiss before Mark gathered his things and made his way to the gate. He turned back one final time, catching Haechan's eye. The image of him standing there, waving with a brave smile, would be etched in Mark's mind as he walked down the jet bridge.
On the plane, Mark settled into his seat, the notebook resting on his lap. He opened it, his fingers brushing over the blank pages. He could almost hear Haechan's voice in his head, encouraging him to write, to stay connected. The thought brought a small, bittersweet smile to his lips.
As the plane took off, Mark looked out the window, watching the city he loved fade into the distance. He thought about the life he was leaving behind and the future that awaited him. But more than anything, he thought about Haechan and the promise they had made to each other. No matter the distance, their bond was unbreakable.
The first letter would come soon. For now, he held on to the hope that the love they shared would carry them through the miles and the months apart.
