The soft sound of footsteps echoed through the quiet halls of the palace as the sun began to set. The attack had shaken the entire Starrful Pack to its core, but under Jungkook's guidance, they were already starting to rebuild. The palace, though still wounded, was a place of resilience.

Jungkook awoke, the ache in his side a constant reminder of the battle, but he felt stronger now. As he shifted in bed, he caught sight of Jimin standing by the window, his silhouette outlined by the golden light of the evening sun.

"How long have you been there?" Jungkook asked softly, his voice still groggy from sleep.

Jimin turned, his face lighting up as he walked over to Jungkook’s bedside. "Not long. I was just checking on the pack. Everything seems to be calming down."

Jungkook sat up, wincing slightly as his hand pressed against the bandage on his side. "What about the injured? Have they all been taken care of?"

"Yes," Jimin said, his voice soothing. "The healers are working tirelessly. There’s no need to worry right now."

But Jungkook couldn’t help it. Worrying about his people was as natural to him as breathing. "I need to make sure the palace is secure. We can’t let this happen again."

Jimin frowned slightly, moving to sit beside him. "The guards are already doubling their efforts. You need to rest, Jungkook. You’ve done enough."

Jungkook looked at him, his gaze soft but determined. "You know I can’t rest when there’s still so much to do."

Jimin sighed, knowing there was no arguing with him. "At least take it easy. You were seriously injured, Jungkook. I don’t want you pushing yourself too hard."

Jungkook gave a small smile, appreciating the concern in Jimin’s eyes. "I’ll be careful, I promise."

Jimin nodded but didn’t seem fully convinced. He stayed close to Jungkook’s side as they left the room, walking slowly through the palace halls. The atmosphere was still tense, the memory of the attack fresh in everyone’s minds. Guards patrolled the corridors, their faces grim with the weight of what had happened.

Jungkook, dressed in another flowing hanfu with a delicate veil covering his face, moved gracefully despite the lingering pain in his side. His beauty, even partially concealed, was still captivating—his soft eyes holding a quiet strength, his movements fluid and elegant like a gentle breeze. Every step he took spoke of both power and compassion, a perfect balance that made him the beloved prince he was.

As they walked through the palace, many pack members bowed their heads in respect, their admiration for Jungkook evident in their expressions. He stopped occasionally to speak with them, asking about their well-being, offering words of comfort and hope. It was clear that his presence alone brought solace to the pack members who were still shaken by the attack.

"You’re truly incredible," Jimin murmured as they continued down the hallway.

Jungkook glanced at him, a soft chuckle escaping his lips. "Why do you say that?"

Jimin looked ahead, his eyes clouded with emotions he tried to keep hidden. "Even after everything that happened, you’re still thinking about everyone else. You always put the pack first."

Jungkook’s smile was small but genuine. "That’s my duty. It’s what I’ve been raised to do."

"It’s more than just duty," Jimin said quietly. "It’s who you are."
