No One's POV
As Marinette entered her room, the door barely clicked shut before Alya was upon her, enveloping her in a warm embrace. The familiar scent of her best friend—vanilla and a hint of lavender—was a small comfort, but it did little to quell the storm of emotions churning inside Marinette."Marinette, it's okay," Alya whispered, her voice tender yet firm. "I'm here."
Marinette's shoulders shook as she let the tears flow freely, each sob tearing at Alya's heart. "I... I didn't mean to," she gasped between breaths. "It was a mistake, Alya. A huge mistake."
Alya pulled back slightly to look into Marinette's tear-streaked face, brushing a few strands of hair behind her ear. "I know it feels overwhelming right now, but you didn't do this on purpose. It was just... life happening."
Marinette nodded, but the guilt weighed heavily on her chest. Changing rooms, moving away from Adrien—it all felt like a chasm opening between them. "What if he can't forgive me?" she whispered, her voice trembling.
"He will," Alya replied, her conviction unwavering. "Just give him some time. You both need to breathe." She reached for a glass of water, handing it to Marinette, who took a sip, only to choke back another wave of tears.
"Every time I close my eyes, I see him," Marinette confessed, her voice muffled by her hands. "I thought I was with him that night. I thought it was Adrien..."
Alya's heart ached for her friend. "Marinette, you were drunk. You thought Felix was Adrien. It was a mistake. We all make them." She pulled Marinette back into a tight embrace. "You're not a bad person for this. You just need to talk to Adrien when you're ready. He loves you."
Meanwhile, in the confines of Adrien's room, the atmosphere was thick with unspoken words. Nino stood by Adrien's side, arms wrapped around him in a comforting embrace. Adrien's heart felt like it was shattering with every passing moment. The empty space where Marinette had been felt impossibly vast.
"I can't believe she's gone," Adrien murmured, his voice raw and strained. "It hurts, Nino. I thought we were okay."
"I know, man," Nino replied softly. "But you both need this space. It's not easy, but it's necessary." He stepped back, looking his friend in the eye. "You need to let her breathe, to figure things out. This isn't the end."
"But it feels like it," Adrien said, his voice breaking. "How can I forgive her when it was Felix? When I think about what happened..."
Nino placed a hand on his shoulder, grounding him. "You have to remember that it was a mistake. You know Marinette. She would never intentionally hurt you."
