The day had been filled with emotions, promises, and heartfelt confessions. By the time the evening rolled around, the warmth of family had settled into every corner of Kiyotaka and Suzune's apartment. After the conversation with Saya, Suzune couldn't help but feel an overwhelming sense of purpose. For the first time, she felt like she was a part of something bigger than herself—this little family that she had unexpectedly become a part of.

It was nearing 9 PM, and the apartment was bathed in a soft golden glow from the lamps. Suzune quietly walked through the hall, carrying a small bowl of ice cream in her hands, one of Gojo's favorite treats. She had noticed how quiet he had been throughout the day, staying tucked away in his room, reading while the others had been talking and bonding. Gojo was just like Kiyotaka in many ways—stoic, reserved, and not one to show his emotions easily. But Suzune had started to notice the small things about him. She saw the way his eyes lit up just a little when he got something he liked, or the way his posture softened when he was reading one of his favorite books.

Suzune knocked softly on Gojo's door, waiting for a moment before opening it slightly. "Gojo, are you awake?" she asked, her voice gentle.

The room was dimly lit, just enough for her to see Gojo sitting on his bed with a book in his hands. He looked up when she entered, his golden eyes reflecting the soft light of his bedside lamp. He didn't say anything at first, just watched as Suzune approached.

"I brought you some ice cream," Suzune said with a soft smile, holding out the bowl toward him.

For a brief moment, Gojo's eyes flicked down to the ice cream before meeting Suzune's gaze again. His face remained neutral, but then, almost imperceptibly, the corners of his lips turned up into the faintest of smiles. It was subtle, but it was enough to make Suzune's heart warm. Gojo rarely showed emotion, much like his father, but in this quiet moment, she could tell he appreciated the gesture.

"Thank you," Gojo said quietly, his voice barely above a whisper.

Suzune sat down on the edge of the bed, watching as Gojo took a small spoonful of ice cream. For a moment, they sat in comfortable silence, the only sound being the soft scrape of the spoon against the bowl.

After a few minutes, Gojo set the ice cream aside, turning his attention back to the book he had been reading. He hesitated for a moment before looking back at Suzune, his golden eyes studying her. "Would you... read to me?" he asked softly, almost shyly.

Suzune blinked in surprise. Gojo was normally so independent, so quiet and reserved, that the request caught her off guard. But the vulnerability in his voice, the way he looked at her with just a hint of uncertainty, melted her heart.

"Of course," Suzune said warmly, her voice soft as she reached out to take the book from his hands. She glanced at the title—a simple storybook, one meant for children his age, though Gojo's intelligence was far beyond that. Still, there was something comforting in these stories, something that brought him peace.

Gojo shifted slightly, making room for Suzune to sit beside him. As she settled in, she placed her hand gently on his head, stroking his brown hair in a soothing motion. Gojo, who usually kept his distance from physical affection, didn't pull away. Instead, he leaned into her touch ever so slightly, the warmth of her hand on his head providing a comfort he hadn't known he needed.

Suzune began reading, her voice soft and calm as she recited the words from the book. As she read, Gojo's eyelids grew heavy, his body relaxing against the pillows. It only took a couple of minutes before she noticed his breathing slow and deepen. He had fallen asleep, his small frame tucked under the covers, his face peaceful.

Suzune's heart ached in the best way possible as she looked down at him. Carefully, she leaned down and placed a gentle kiss on Gojo's forehead, her hand lingering in his hair for just a moment longer. "Good night, Gojo," she whispered softly.

She quietly stood up, making sure not to disturb him as she left the room, closing the door behind her. The apartment was quiet now, the day's excitement having finally settled into a peaceful evening.

Suzune made her way to Saya's room, feeling the need to check on her as well. Opening the door just a crack, she peeked inside. Saya was curled up under her blankets, her soft breathing the only sound in the room. Suzune smiled to herself as she tiptoed into the room, leaning down to place a tender kiss on Saya's forehead.

"I'll always be here for you," Suzune whispered, the promise she had made earlier echoing in her heart.

Saya shifted slightly in her sleep, her lips curling into a faint smile as if she could hear Suzune's words even in her dreams. Suzune lingered for a moment, her heart full of love for the little girl who had come to mean so much to her.

After leaving Saya's room, Suzune made her way to Kiyotaka's bedroom. When she opened the door, she found him sitting on the edge of the bed, his usual calm expression in place. He looked up as she entered, his gaze softening slightly when he saw her.

"Everything okay?" Kiyotaka asked, his voice as steady as always.

Suzune nodded, closing the door behind her as she walked over to him. "Gojo's asleep. Saya too," she said softly, sitting down beside him.

Kiyotaka gave a small nod, his eyes reflecting a quiet understanding. For a moment, they sat in silence, the weight of the day's events settling between them. There was so much that had changed in such a short amount of time—feelings that had grown, bonds that had formed. And now, as the night drew on, they found themselves in a moment of stillness.

Suzune looked at Kiyotaka, her heart full of unspoken words. "I never thought I'd be in this place," she said quietly, her voice barely above a whisper. "But I'm glad I am."

Kiyotaka's gaze met hers, his expression as calm and unreadable as ever, but there was a softness in his eyes that Suzune had come to recognize. "So am I," he replied, his voice steady.

Without thinking, Suzune leaned in, resting her head against Kiyotaka's chest. The steady rhythm of his heartbeat beneath her ear was comforting, grounding her in the moment. Kiyotaka didn't hesitate to wrap his arms around her, holding her close as they sat together in the quiet of the room.

For a long time, neither of them spoke. There was no need for words. The silence between them was comfortable, filled with an understanding that went beyond anything that could be said aloud.

After a while, Suzune shifted slightly, lifting her head to look up at Kiyotaka. "Thank you," she said softly, her voice filled with emotion. "For everything."

Kiyotaka didn't say anything, but the way he held her just a little tighter, the way his gaze softened as he looked down at her, was enough.

As they sat there, the door to the bedroom slowly creaked open, and Aiko, with her mischievous grin, peeked her head in. "Can I come in?" she whispered, though she didn't wait for an answer before slipping into the room.

Suzune chuckled softly as Aiko wiggled her way onto the bed, snuggling herself between Kiyotaka and Suzune. "You two are always leaving me out of the cuddles," Aiko teased, her blue eyes sparkling with mischief as she settled in.

Kiyotaka shifted slightly to make room for her, his arm wrapping around both Suzune and Aiko as they all settled in together. Aiko grinned, her tiny arms wrapping around Suzune's waist as she wiggled even closer.

"I'm not going to let you sleep without me," Aiko declared, her voice filled with playful determination.

Suzune laughed softly, her heart full as she hugged Aiko closer to her. "Alright, alright, you can stay," she said, pressing a gentle kiss to Aiko's forehead.

With Kiyotaka's arms wrapped around them both, the warmth of the moment settled over the small family like a comforting blanket. Suzune rested her head against Kiyotaka's chest again, her arms wrapped around Aiko, and for the first time in a long time, everything felt right.

Kiyotaka's grip tightened ever so slightly, pulling them both a little closer, and in the quiet of the night, the three of them drifted off to sleep, safe and content in each other's embrace.
