Glass.
Glass shatters across the kitchen floor.
The Tall Man was dressed in Black from top to bottom. He's wearing a long dark filthy cloak with large boots.
His towering height over Sam and his mother makes him appear as a giant almost.
"Get the fuck out of my house!"
Vanessa shouted almost haltingly, as she reaches for a kitchen knife from the knife holder.
Sam takes steps back, his eyes wide and almost deceiving him. His mind fighting bubbles of shock and confusion.
The man still approaching Vanessa, Vanessa swings the knife at the man. He stops her motion, twisting her arm and forcing her to drop the knife.
Sam slowly takes his phone out of his pocket. Not taking his eyes off the scene happening before him.
Vanessa lets out an unbearable scream. She punches him in the face. He takes it, but reflexes in return, grabbing her by the throat, lifting her into the air, and slamming her down on the kitchen counter.
Sam stands still. Frozen.
Vanessa grabs a dish and slams it across the man's head. Quickly, the man takes a piece of glass shard and slits Vanessa's cheek. Vanessa kicks the man between the legs.
"Sam help me!" Vanessa jumps off the counter.
Sam slowly looks down at his phone. No emotion in his eyes. He see's a text message from his friend Tasha:
"Did you tell her? What did she say?"
Sam's opens the message and clicks the call button by her contact.
Then the man shoves his boot into Vanessa's back. The heavy force sends her flying across the kitchen. Causing her to stumble, splitting her chin open on the kitchen bar.
Sam slowly looks back up. The phone is ringing. Tasha picks up:
"Hello? Sam, are you okay?"
Vanessa collapses to the floor. She hollers from the pain as the man tilts his head. Almost like he's enjoying his actions. He is.
Tasha sounds panicked now:
"Sam, what's going on? Hello?!"
Vanessa opens her eyes. Vision becoming blurred. But she can make out the legs of Sam, who's still standing before her. Motionless.
She slowly crawls toward him. The man follows... STOMPING her HEAD into the floor.
Knocking her out. Cold.
Silence.
"Sam?! SAM!?"
Tasha hangs up.
