Let Time Burn (Human Bill Cipher x Reader)

Author's Note

 Hi, and welcome to my fanfic! This is my first time writing one, so I'm excited about it. I've got a few important notes, just so y'all know!

This fanfic is set two years after the events of the show (e.g. it's late summer and Mabel & Dipper are 14, turning 15 soon.) For all you nerds who have read the Book of Bill, it's important to know that the Axolotl never sent Bill to the Theraprism; instead, as the fanfic's description says, he was turned into a human and had his memories & powers taken away.

As for smut, there won't be any in this fanfic. I just don't write it. Yes, it's a Bill x Reader, but there simply won't be any smut. (Some romance, yes.) Don't want anyone going in thinking there will be and being disappointed. :) Fair warning: there will be plenty of swearing and probably violence, because that's how I write.

My writing style includes using proper grammar, spelling, etc. I know plenty of people don't mind, but it bothers me to read things with a lot of mistakes/typos/misspelled words, so I'll avoid them as much as I can. I write with italics for emphasis (as well as for characters' thoughts), and normally not a lot of bolds or all capital letters. Also, it'll be written about Y/n in past tense and third person, using they/them pronouns. I've already got the whole thing planned out, so I'll most likely be updating every few days, at most, though I can't promise consistent chapter lengths, since chapters with more plot are pretty much bound to be longer. (I'll put a word count at the start of each one so you can mentally prepare yourself.)

For those who don't know: Y/n = Your Name; e/c = eye color; h/c = hair color; s/c = skin color. Not sure if I'll use those or not (except Y/n, I know I'll use Y/n) but I thought I'd add them in and save you the Google search.

Last full paragraph, I promise. I think it'll be fun to put a song recommendation(s) at the beginning of each chapter! I'll try to make them fitted to each chapter, be it through lyrics or the feel of the songs. I also may or may not add a drawing to some chapters, though they wouldn't be digital, because I'm awful at digital art. (Drawing the cover was such a challenge, and I even traced a photo of a pencil-and-paper drawing I did!)
