CHAPTER NINETEEN

His eyes lingered in mine and I was too stunned to say anything. I savor the moment to stare at his pretty face, he is pretty. I believe them now when they say that he is one of the manliest members of their group, but his face is just pretty.

If you're not gonna see him in person, all you can think of him is just someone who is tall, no doubt, but has a pretty face. You might not believe that he is feminine, like the way he walks, the way he stands, the way he carries himself.

But I can see now.

"Your heart resides in his heart I needed to dive in deeper and know him first so I can know you. If I didn't know my way to him, I wouldn't be able to see through you." my heart pounded and I couldn't help but blink.

"Surrendering more, giving in more, letting go more." he slowly smiled and nodded his head.

"Friends?" I nodded slowly and smiled.

"Friends," I whispered and shook his hand.

"Fior now," he smirked afterward, making me laugh and shake my head.

"Yeah, right." I watched him start drinking the hot chocolate and finally eat. I stopped reading and listening to his stories.

Inipon niya raw lahat ng nangyari sa work nila para lang may dala dala siya for me, he told me everything he could remember as we finish the hot chocolate I made for us, he even followed me to the kitchen area para lang ma-entertain niya raw ako sa mga kwento niya, mukhang gising na siya at nag-recharged na siya sa nap na ginawa niya karating niya dito.

"Eh, alam mo naman ako, antukin talaga, buti nga naalala ko pa lahat, usually 'di talaga ako nakakatulog ng maayos kapag masyadong maingay paligid, I'm really sensitive, pero nagbabago pananaw ng tulog ko kapag sobrang pagod." I glanced over at him and tuloy tuloy lang siya sa pagpasok ng mga pastries sa showcase habang nagkekwento siya.

"Are you always tired?" he shrugged and his eyes were focused on what he was doing.

"I think? Mababa lang talaga energy ko, mabilis lang din ako mapagod, but it's not hard for me to go out, but I also wanna go home early." I chuckled and leaned on the counter habang nag aantay ng mga susunod na need ilabas.

"Part-time ka ba here?" He glanced over at me and raised his eyebrows.

"Nakakahiya naman daw sa 'yo, eh baka pagod ka na, ako na lang pala nagwo-work." natawa ako ng malakas sa pagmamaldita niya.

"Attitude ka ah, bawal 'yan!" I joked and he shook his head, rolling his eyes jokingly.

"Girl, ikaw nang-aalila sa akin, baka naman?"

"Nagkusa ka kaya!" he smirked suddenly and then nodded his head.

"I'm saved now," masayang sabi niya na parang bata kaya tawa ako ng tawa.

"Yes, Jath, you are saved now." when he glanced over at me he winked and then gave me back the pan he was holding.

"I wanna go to this music fest you talked about, pupunta ba kuya mo?" I nodded as I started at the paper I needed to check for the goodies that are being baked para lang organized, ilang minutes na lang din pupunta na si Kwes sa shop.

"Yup, sama ka?" I raised my head to look at him, he tucked a strand of hair behind his ear and sat at the top of the counter katabi ng POC.

"Yes, I want to."

"'Di ka ba need magpaalam muna sa management niyo?" he scrunched his nose.

"Pakielam nila," tinitigan ko siya kaya natawa siya and the he peace sign.
