Second Trap is Manipulative

For six months, Eggy tried to be kind to his wife, making an effort to restrain himself, but Lolita's heart was already too wounded. She tried to distance herself from Eggy, choosing to sleep with Olivia and leaving Eggy to sleep alone. This was Lolita's way of creating boundaries and protecting herself from the madness.

Of course, Eggy couldn't just stand by. He demanded that Lolita return to their bedroom. He used Bible verses in his words, sending them through text messages to her phone, trying to manipulate her into compliance.

"'Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, His body, of which He is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.'" (Ephesians 5:22-24).

Lolita wasn't about to back down on this matter. She sent a reply to Eggy:

"'In the same way, husbands, ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.'" (Ephesians 5:28).

Lolita added after sending that verse:

"Don't cherry-pick verses when you send them. Remember, a husband must also love his wife as he loves himself."

And Eggy replied:

"The verse for wives was written before the verse for husbands. So, it means that a wife should first submit to her husband, and only then can a husband love his wife as he loves himself."

It's exhausting to argue with Eggy! But Lolita didn't want to be blamed, so she chose to give in. That night, she slept in Eggy's room.

Naturally, Eggy welcomed her with open arms. Not only had it been a while since they had been intimate, but Eggy also had a new mission: to have a son. Eggy's family insisted that he needed a male heir to carry on the family name and the family business. So, Eggy still had a 'debt' to his extended family – to provide a grandson.

Eggy realized that all this time, Lolita had been trying hard to avoid him, especially during her fertile days. This time, Eggy had been keeping track of when Lolita got her period and carefully calculated the best time to sleep with her. He even figured out which days would be the best to conceive a son.

Eggy was very manipulative. In moments like these, he knew he had to be nice to Lolita to get what he wanted. He started by hugging her and kissing her from behind.

"I'm not in the mood; I'm sleepy," said Lolita, trying to pull away from Eggy.

"It's a wife's duty to serve her husband, isn't it? Come on, sweetheart, it's been so long since we've had sex. You wouldn't want me looking elsewhere, would you? No matter how bad I am as a husband, you should at least be proud that I've never cheated on you or had a mistress. I've always been faithful to you."

Lolita couldn't escape from Eggy, and he wouldn't stop until he got what he wanted. Lolita had no choice but to give in to Eggy's demands. He started to caress her. Lolita's body was stiff like a doll, her eyes wide open, staring at the ceiling. Her heart was pounding.

"Close your eyes, honey. Why are you glaring at me? Just close your eyes and enjoy it," said Eggy gentle and sweet.

Lolita obeyed Eggy's request, waiting patiently until he was done with her. As soon as Eggy ejaculated, Lolita quickly tried to get up, but Eggy held her back.

"I know you've been trying not to get pregnant all this time. Don't think I haven't noticed."

"Eggy, let go of me, I need to clean up," Lolita protested, struggling to break free from him. But Eggy grabbed her legs and lifted them up.

"I'm going to make sure my sperm doesn't go to waste tonight. You're not getting out of this bed until morning." Eggy laughed and satisfied.

Lolita's efforts to free her small body from Eggy were in vain. That night, Eggy held her tightly, making sure she couldn't go anywhere. He kept her by his side for the next three hours.

Second Pregnancy

Lolita woke up early, feeling nauseous and wanting to vomit. She tried drinking some warm water, but it didn't help. Eggy followed her as she hurried to the bathroom, bringing a pregnancy test with him. "Try using this, I'll wait here," he instructed. Eggy made sure Lolita urinated on the test and took it from her as soon as she was done.

After a moment, Eggy smiled broadly. "I did it! Olivia will soon have a sibling!" he said with pride. Meanwhile, Lolita felt weak. She was pregnant. When would she ever be able to escape from this prison of a house? She had thought that once Olivia finished elementary school, she would divorce and move to another city with her. But now she was pregnant again. Was this good news or bad?

The good news, perhaps, was that if she had two children and then divorced, they could each take one child. The bad news was that Lolita didn't know if she could bear to leave her baby or her young child behind. A toddler might soon forget their mother, or the father might indoctrinate them into believing that their mother was irresponsible for choosing to leave.

Over the next nine months, Eggy took great care of her. He made sure Lolita ate nutritious food, took her vitamins, slept on time, and kept her emotions stable. He didn't want Lolita's stress to affect the baby. Lolita realized that Eggy could actually manage his emotions, he can talk sweetly only if he wants. Sometimes, when she purposely acted annoying, Eggy would still respond kindly.

Nine months of peace. A truce during the pregnancy. For what? So that Eggy could have a healthy child, he was willing to back down, and the war between them ceased. Especially since the baby Lolita was carrying turned out to be a boy. Eggy's family immediately began searching for a name that meant good, prosperous, healthy, wealthy, and so on. And Eggy decided to name the baby Oliver. Just like when he named Olivia, Eggy didn't consult the mother who carried the baby; he simply decided on the name himself.
