Kristy's POV
A cold, yet gentle breeze hits my face, stirring me awake from my slumber.
I stretched my arms as I reached for my phone kept on the side table. Squinting my eyes, I looked at the time and sighed.I placed the phone back down and buried my face against my oh so favourite pillow. I hummed lowly in satisfaction as I felt the soft silk fabric press against my skin. But the quiet atmosphere was soon broken by my brother as I felt the blanket getting flung off of me.
I groaned in irritation and sat up, giving him a glare.
"What do you want?" I said, trying not to overreact.
"Your bed wants you to leave it alone for some time," he said with his eyebrows raised.
"It's only 4!" I said, shoving the phone infront of his face.
"Whatever. Your friends are in the living room waiting for you," he said in a matter-of-fact way as he stood up and walked over to the door.
"What what-" I said with wide eyes.
"They want you to join them for some laser tag." He turned around and scoffed at me.
"Forgot?"
My lips slightly parted while pondering. Then I realised that we had decided to go out for laser tag today.
"Ah right- I will be down in 10!" I said as I tossed out some random clothes from my dresser and dashed straight into the bathroom.
"Typical," he muttered as he walked out.
Author's POV
Sam and Eve were sitting downstairs, chatting about random topics while waiting for Kristy.
"Ugh my Maths teacher is just the worst! He gave two worksheets with 50 sums each and he expects me to solve them and hand them in after just one day," Sam complained as she seized the empty water bottle from the table, throwing it in the trash can.
"Nice aim," said Eve while glancing at the trash can from her phone, which she was typing on with rapid speed.
"Are you even hearing me out?" Sam said with frustration while running a hand through her hair.
"O-ofc why wouldn't I-"
"No you're not!" Sam said loudly while getting up and pacing around the living room.
"Ok just chill. We are here to enjoy for once and not get succumbed under pressure!" Eve said as she roamed around, scanning the small pictures on the table.
Kristy's POV
After quickly changing into my clothes and finishing my skincare, I spritzed some perfume on my wrists and rushed downstairs.
"Oh look who is finally here!" Said Sam as she rushed over to me.
She came infront of me with a joyful expression. But as she scanned my outfit, she frowned and looked up at me.
"What are you even wearing?" She said with her high-pitched voice.
"Clothes?" I said to her while raising an eyebrow.
She rolled her eyes and said, "You could've worn the new jeans I got you lah"
"I was in a hurry. I will wear it next time." I said while waving at Eve behind her.
"Oh come on, she still looks pretty." Said Eve while grinning.
"Nah you're much prettier-" I proceeded to argue only to be cut off with an 'ahem' from Sam.
