Annie experienced a departure from her usual dreams when, after many years, her father appeared in her dreams. As she heard a familiar voice in the distance asking for someone's whereabouts, her vision became hazy and her dreams transitioned, marking the first time she had two distinct dreams in one night.

The background slowly faded, and the setting shifted; it looked like a stormy night; there was an old building in front of her, and Annie found herself witnessing a scene where a girl, who bore a striking resemblance to herself, was precariously hanging from the top floor of a towering building. Sweat dripped from the girl's face. She had a light smile on her face. There was Another figure who looked like a man and was barely supporting her with just the strength of a single finger, and then, the girl muttered something to him which was not audible and intentionally, the girl let go of the support and plummeted downward. It was Annie, the girl who let go of the hand was Annie. When she realized she wanted to scream out to the girl not to let go, she wanted to say that it was the accident that caused her memory loss, she wanted to yell that what she was doing would not lead to escape from the situation, what she did would make her struggle now but, it was all of no use, what happened had happened. There was no coming back from what she did long ago.

That morning, when Annie woke up, she was not sweating, and she was not scared, but she was sad and angry. The foolishness she showed long ago had made her come to a point where she was fed up with life. Every day, she lived in the curiosity of what had happened to her years ago. She wanted to tell all of these things to someone, but Becca was not one of the options; if she ever told what had happened, Becca would force her to come back and Stop her from what she was doing. Her next option was Arman. She had trusted him so much that even if she had to keep her life at stake, she would give the responsibility to him. It was one of the quickest trusts she ever got, or was it the quickest? Maybe they knew each other, maybe they both loved each other before the accident. But why didn't he tell her anything? Maybe he thought she would not believe it? If that was the truth, the only way was to tell everything to him about her weird sights and her weird feelings. That was it, she was confronting him. After a whole lot of overthinking, she concluded that no matter what, she was telling him everything; it didn't matter even if he thought she was a psychopath.

That evening she went to Arman's house, she was wearing the prettiest blue T-shirt with cargo baggy jeans. When she rang the doorbell, Arman opened the door, he was wearing a grey color T-shirt with a cream color track pant. When he saw Annie by the door he was surprised. “Hey there,” he said “Did you ring the wrong doorbell”
She smirked and said“No, I just wanted to talk to you. Hope you're free”
“yea... Anyway, I was bored. Will you come in, or we'll go out ?”
“it was urgent so I guess I will come in ”
“sure please "

Annie found it very difficult to describe her condition. After a long description, she finally concluded by telling her weird, familiar feelings about him and her eagerness to know what had happened to her these past years. His immediate response was, “So you say that I might know what happened?”

“yea! Maybe, do you know me for a long time?” she said with concern slipping her hand into her pocket
“no, maybe you're hallucinating ”

That's when she realized she was wearing the same dress that she had worn on the first day in France. Which meant the locket was in the pocket. The same locket in which she saw a picture of her standing next to him. Suspicion crept up her sleeves, and she took out the locket.
“Then how will you explain this?”
she asked showing him the locket. He was surprised, words were not slipping from his mouth. He thought for a while and said, “I knew you; we both studied in the same college, and we both were good friends. I never thought I would meet you again, so I kept this picture with me. Don't you remember me?”

“so why did you tell me that you didn't know me ?” she said, believing him.
“I didn't recognize you,” he said
That was believable. She had a lot of changes since college, and recognizing her was truly difficult. But she never knew a person such as him; maybe that was also a part of her memory loss, she thought to herself.

Just before she could leave he told her
“hey, since you forgot your past why are you trying to recall it, isn't a waste of time, maybe what you forgot was what you never wanted to experience, maybe it was a psychopath experience you had, if I were you then I would let the past be the last and enjoy the future, why don't you give it a thought? And yet, If you feel you need to know your past, maybe I can help you recollect your past. I learned something similar to recollecting memories.”
