00K POV
Life has been steady lately.
It's been a year since they actually saw each other. The last one, she saw her was across the ballroom at an event.
Naturally, the constant communication fizzled out. From talking to each other everyday to just looking through her social media posts.
By now, she has learned to let go. It was a hard adjustment, there had been a month that she requested for time-off just to get her head on straight.
"I don't think it's the right time, P'Ling."
They'd been together secretly for three years, paths diverged after Only You the series. Lingling focused on Films and Music while Orm focused on TV Series and Modeling.
They've flourished on their own paths, something that they're both thankful for but the time that they worked together still holds a special place in their hearts. It's where it all started.
A year and a half into their relationship, Lingling had managed to buy her dream house with Orm in mind for their future. She surprised Orm with the house by asking her to move in, Orm agreed even before Lingling finished asking.
Living together had been blissful, the first and last person they'd see was each other. Co-habiting let them see each other fully, all their facets out in the open and they discovered that they really complement each other. What the other hates doing, the other one loves. They were so in tuned with each other from the start that Mae Koy teased them acting like an old married couple. Orm then would always remind her mother that she's still too young but Mae Koy would always look at Lingling after and the younger one would always smile and nod slightly at Mae Koy. They already have an understanding.
"It's everyday he'd be around you, holding your hand, touching you, kissing you. The liberties he's taking..." Lingling paused to take a deep breath. "There are so many people rooting for you now to be with him. It's taking all my self-control to reign in my emotions. I'm getting tired Love, I just want the world to know that you're mine and not his." She said pleadingly.
As all journey goes, there were bumps on the road and some of those bumps left a scar for both that they need to heal separately. It wasn't easy, they were both too stubborn to let go but Lingling was the first one to realize they have to do it. Hoping that they'd find their way back to each other.
"Remember when you asked me to be patient in Chair to Share? Now I'm asking for it too." Lingling said while crying. "We'll find our way back to each other, that of, I'm sure. Always." Then she hugged Orm tightly, kissed the side of her head and walked out.
Even though their communication has been close to non-existent since they broke up 2 years ago, Mae Koy was still a constant in her life.
A couple days after they broke up and Orm moved out, Lingling woke up to a sound of someone in the house. Afraid of an intruder, she silently walked to the sound while also reviewing in her head the self defense tactics she learned while filming Only You but only finding Mae Koy tidying up the kitchen. Mae Koy looked at her with a smile and Lingling ran to give her a hug. Through the years of her relationship with Orm, Mae Koy and Lingling formed a bond. The older woman treated her like another daughter and Lingling treated her like another mother. It's a bond that never easily goes away.
