(minho x jisung)

MINHO:

As it got darker outside, one by one, everyone started leaving the bar. The heavyweights decided to handle as many lightweights as they could, and at the end Jisung and I were left alone there.

I sigh. This was not going to be good for me.

"Don't leave, wait for me! I still have one more glass left," Jisung says as he sees me take a few steps towards the exit. I wasn't actually going to leave, I just wanted to get this done with as soon as I could.

"Make it fast, we don't have all day," I roll my eyes at him, trying to put my feelings aside, and he pouts.

How badly I wanted to pinch his nose and tell him how adorable he was.

He sits back on his chair, slowly drinking his beer. He's a full-grown adult, which isn't news to anyone, but the way he sipped his beer made him look like a five year old sipping apple juice. No one could have looked cuter drinking alcohol. To me, at least. I was whipped; a long gone case at that.

Jisung and I have known each other for about three years now, but we only got on first name basis a year back. Even before I knew he took notice of me, I knew I had fallen for him. Hard.

We didn't share any classes since I was a year above him, but I always saw him in the hallways and during lunch, and occasionally at the dorms with our friends. It was, without a doubt, the best part of my day— watching Jisung happily dig into his meal, seeing his gums on full show when he smiled widely, and listening to that oh, so heavenly voice of his everytime he was nearby. Jisung's laugh was like music to my ears, and ever since I got the opportunity to be his friend, I vowed to always make him happy just to hear him laugh.

On some occasions, I felt like I was a little extra special to him, but I realized that it was just my wishful thinking. Being nice and friendly to everyone was his nature, and I shouldn't have gotten ahead of myself with thoughts of him liking me back.

"Jisung, it's getting late. I'm sure the lady wants to close her shop already, yeah? Look at her, she's tired. We should go," I say as I look over at the lady who served us drinks with an apologetic look. She waves her hand in front of her face, gesturing that it was fine.

The bill had been split up among our friend group and paid for already, so I was glad that that burden was off my shoulders. Handling a drunk man-baby wasn't gonna be easy, that's for sure.

"See? She doesn't have a problem. I'm gonna stay here, whether you like it or not," Jisung huffs. I sigh at his behavior.

"Don't be a brat, Ji. Come on out already," I say without thinking. I didn't even realize that I gave him a nickname till I see his head whip around at me with eyes widened. I don't know if it was because he was drunk or because he was flustered, but his face turns red.

"What did you call me?"

I was hoping we could brush past that since I know I'd feel embarrassed if he handpicked that question and asked it to me, but since he did anyways, I had no option but to answer.

"It, uh, slipped out of my mouth. Sorry," I say sheepishly, avoiding his eyes and scratching the back of my head.

"No!" He yells abruptly, his voice echoing throughout the bar. I widen my eyes at the sudden action and he lowers his voice.

"I mean... it's okay. I like it. It's cute," he says without looking at my face. "I liked it when you called me that," he adds shyly, much quieter but loud enough for me to hear.

I smile for two reasons; one, because I was relieved that he didn't mind my slip up, and two, he looked absolutely adorable when he was all shy. This was my first time being alone with him after drinks and I was starting to think that today was a blessing in disguise.
