JIYEON'S POV:

"Jiyeon? Jiyeon! Jeon Jiyeon, please wake up! You can't die on me, Ji, please wake up," I faintly hear Chan's panicked voice calling for me while I was still away in dreamland. I could feel him nudge my shoulders, and after a few moments of fighting myself to wake up, I finally open my eyes and look next to me.

"Oh my God, you're awake! You're actually awake, oh God! I'm so happy I could hug you right now!" He says in a relieved tone, wearing a big smile on his face like his face wasn't bruised. I widen my eyes at the condition of his face and suddenly recall everything that happened before I fell unconscious. I notice l both our hands handcuffed onto a horizontal metal pole and start panicking.

"Where the hell are we? And why are our hands all tied up like this?"

"I wish I had the answer to that," Chan sighs. I scan my surroundings more clearly, realizing that the room was painted grey from top to bottom on all sides. There was a lone chair sitting a few meters to my left, and the only other object in the room was the metal pole, which extended from one end of the room to another.

"There has to be some way for us to get out. Maybe they abandoned us here and left," I think out loud, realizing that the only sounds I've heard since I woke up were those of metal scratching against each other, as well as Chan's voice. "But I also want to know who was behind this."

"Yeah, but let's save that part for when we get out," he says, scanning the room like I did earlier. "There's got to be a way... I think."

I had already lost hope after a few minutes, but Chan was determined. He almost gives up too, till his eyes land on my head. He gulps.

"What?" I ask.

"...your hairpin," he replies, looking away from me nervously. Personally, I thought he was a genius for noticing that little thing on top of my head at a time of distress, so I couldn't tell why he looked tensed.

"Go ahead, take it! What are you waiting for?"

"Our hands are trapped, remember?" He says as both our eyes travel to our hands, and meet with each others' immediately after.

"I'll have to use my mouth."

Now I understood why he was nervous. I tense up for a second. Which was more important? Avoiding a possible heart attack because of Chan or getting out of here alive?

"...you have my permission to take it," I say quietly after a few moments of contemplation, hoping we could get on with it quickly. I know it doesn't seem like something to get this worked up over, but Chan is pretty fucking attractive and I didn't know if I had the mental capacity to handle him being this close to me.

He exhales, mentally preparing himself for the task at hand. He slowly brings himself closer to me, sending shivers down my spine as his lips touch the top of my forehead. The tension between us was off the charts, but now was not the moment to be thinking about that.

I could feel his teeth struggle with the bobby pins for a few moments before successfully pulling them out. We make eye contact for a split second before looking away from each other, feeling flustered. A few moments of silence pass between the two of us, and Chan finally breaks it.

"So... let's get out of this thing," he says awkwardly, and I immediately agree with him for lack of better things to say. He frees himself from the cuffs that tied him to pole, immediately helping me out of mine as soon as he was done with his. We both stand up and stretch out our arms and legs, which were sore from being left motionless for god knows how long.

Once we thought we were prepared, we exit the room, which was surprisingly left unlocked. We check both sides of the hallways to see if the coast was clear and quicken our steps.
