Part 1

"Phoebe wake up you're gonna be late" mayu my teammate said. I opened my eyes, still exhausted from yesterday. It's been one month since I joined Japan national team. At first I was scared that my teammates would be cold to me or ignore me because I'm not originally Japanese. But they're so kind and open to me. Especially mayu ishikawa. She's my bestie now. She is always helpful with practice or teaching Japanese.
"Just 5 minutes mayu" I said
"Phoebe I swear to god I'll kick your ass" mayu said
"Oiii mateeeee" I said
"If you be a good girl I'll make ramen for dinner" mayu said
I quickly got up and went to take shower
I got ready and waited for mayu
"Girl you woke me up but still you're not ready?" I said
"Urusai Phoebe Chan" mayu said jokingly
"Gosh Arigato" I said
"Doitashimashite" mayu said and chuckled
We went to court and started to practice
Im middle blocker because im tall and I love my position. Sometimes I feel lonely in team. I know it's stupid but I can't help to feel lonely as introverted as I am sometimes I can't make conversation so I mess up. But I'm glad to have mayu. She's really the best.
"Mayu I'm tired" I said as I sat on ground
"Get yourself together" mayu said and threw the volleyball at me
"Oiiiii you wanna break my nose?" I said as I dodged the ball
"Yes cuz you're always tired" mayu said
"Tch" I rolled my eyes

After practice me and mayu started to walk home
But suddenly her phone was ringing
"Hi Sarina san"
"Sure sure"
"See you" mayu ended the call
"What's going on?" I asked curiously
"It was Sarina San. She invited me to dinner tomorrow. Do you want to come with me?"
I got shy and stressed
"No she didn't invite me she invited you honey" I said
"Don't be stupid. Our other friends will be there too. It's like a meeting after she quit the team. Please come" mayu said
"Mayu you know how stressed and shy I get around new people. I can't accept. Sorry" I said and looked away
"Phoebe I want you to make more friends. Believe me she's the best and she's so kind" mayu said jumping up and down
"Stop. I'll think about it"
"Thank youuuuuu" mayu said

Maybe she's right. Maybe I really have to make more friends
