After a long night out partying you decided to go home earlier then your friends. You were staying at a hotel because you were on vacation in Ireland. You got in the lift but you were too busy trying to figure out something on your phone, so you didn’t even realize when someone else walked in the lift too. Suddenly the lift stopped working, you looked up and saw Niall Horan looking at you with a worried expression. As a directioner you knew Niall was claustrophobic.
“Are you okay?” you asked as you walked over to him.
“Yeah, if we get out soon I will be.” He answered smiling at you. You walked over to the emergency phone and they said you would be stuck for another half hour.
“Seems like you’re stuck with me for another 30 minutes.” You sat down on the floor. Niall sat down next to you and you saw how nervous he was.
“Hey it’s gonna be alright.” You said as you hugged him.
“We might as well get to know each other.” He started asking questions about you. You told him you were on vacation and that you lived in Belgium. You already knew everything about him but you did ask him some stuff so you wouldn’t look like a stalker. You found out that he was still single.
‘This is my chance’ you told yourself. The time flew by because it looked like you were talking for only 10 minutes when the lift started moving.
Niall got up and helped you up too. When the lift opened he gave you his number and went to his room. You texted him your name so that he had your number
*2 days later*
You and your friends were getting ready to go out when you got a text from Niall saying he would like to take you on a date before you went back to Belgium.
You were jumping around your hotel room and your friends got really jealous because Niall Horan asked you out on a date. You were in the middle of doing your make-up when you heard a knock on your door. Your friends had already left so you had to yell.
“I’ll be right there!!” You threw your phone in your purse, slipped in your heels, took one final look in the mirror and ran to the door. Niall was wearing a suit and looked awesome.
“You look incredible.” He said to you as he took your hand in his.
“Are we gonna risk going with the lift?” You said with a little concern in your voice.
“Yes and if we do get stuck again then our first date will be in a lift.” The lift started shaking a bit and your grip around his arm got tighter.
“Don’t worry, that’s normal.”
When you got to the lobby you saw a lot of paparazzi outside. You got a bit nervous and Niall pulled you closer to him. When you got in the car you relaxed a bit.
“Are you planning on telling me where we’re going?” You asked as you saw a mysterious smirk appear on his face.
“You’ll see, it’s not a fancy restaurant but more like a fancy picnic.”
When you arrived at your destination you saw that there was no one else. It was a big field with in the middle of it a small table.
“A whole field for the 2 of us? Wow that’s pretty cool.” You said and he led you to the table. The rest of the date was really romantic and at the end of the night your cheeks hurt from all the laughing.
When you got back to your hotel Niall walked you to your door and kissed you.
“I hope we can have more dates like these.” He said as he walked over to his door. The next day you went shopping together and had lunch, he was all romantic and you have been dating for the last three years. You went on tour with him and on your anniversaries he would take you to a field with a small table in the middle of it just to remind you of your first date.
*3 years anniversary *
Niall was taking a shower while you were looking for a dress to wear, it was your 3 years anniversary so you were going to that field again. It was the most romantic thing someone has ever done to you.
You were sitting on your bed thinking about how you met Niall in the lift while you were looking at all your dresses.
“Wear the red one, you look beautiful in that one.” Niall whispered in your ear. You were happy you didn’t have to think longer and went to the bathroom to put some make-up on.
“Don’t need make-up to cover up, being the way that you are is enough.” You heard Niall sing as he walked through the bathroom door.
“Well it’s a special night so I do have to wear make-up.”
“You got 10 minutes to get your make-up ready and get dressed or else I’m gonna drag you out of the house like that.” He said as he got dressed.
“I’ll be ready don’t worry.” You only needed 10 minutes more than usually so Niall didn’t complain. You drove to the field and you could see that Niall was acting different.
“Is something wrong, you’re acting a bit weird?” You asked slightly worried.
“Everything is fine.”He replied giving you a little smile.
You let it go but in the middle of the dinner Niall was almost jumping on his chair.
Niall, please tell me what’s wrong.” You said as you reached for his hand across the table.
“I have to tell you something,” he got up and stood in front of you,
“Yana, the past 3 years have been the best of my entire life, I love you and I can’t imagine
life without you so I’m asking you.” He got down on one knee. “Yana, would
you do me the honor of marrying me and making me the happiest man alive.”
You jumped on him yelling ‘YES YES YES’ while you kissed him and when you finally calmed down he put the ring on your finger.
Now you knew why he said you should wear your red dress, it was easy to jump in it.
