"It's got to be the necklace!" my friend shouted as he sat down with me suddenly.
"what's got to be?" I asked casually while sipping from my coffee.
"Your superpower. you channel something in that amulet and teleport and not sleep or whatever."
"you're getting further away." I smirked. "Do you even know what the word 'amulet' means? this is a rock carved into the shape of a dragonfly."
"Why a dragonfly?"
"My great grandmother liked dragonflies. my mom would say that whenever I saw one, it was my great grammie coming to check on me. I like dragonflies."
"But still, you're-"
I cut him off. "I got this at a gift shop in Montanna two years ago. "
"So, what is it then?"
"Why worry so much?"
"Because I want to know."
"It's best if you don't."
I stand up, close my eyes, and disappear.
