This is a short list of some immediate lore changes:
Infection is passable through contact with blood and other bodily fluids (Sweat, saliva, etc)
Animals are no longer exempt to infection (Cats, Dogs, Pigs, etc; I am aware that primates could technically be infected in the official game, but as of this point they can only be carriers, not true hosts)
Humans can have an increased resistance to the infection (Ellie will remain the only one with true immunity)
