After several hours of sleep, Matt woke with a start, his mind still reeling from the events of the previous night. As he lay there in the dim light filtering through his bedroom window, he couldn't shake the feeling of unease that lingered in the air.

Every sound seemed amplified; every shadow filled with unseen menace. Matt's heart pounded in his chest as he struggled to push aside the memories that threatened to overwhelm him.

After taking a shower, Matt wrapped himself in a gown, the fabric offering a modicum of comfort and modesty as he descended the stairs. However, as he reached the bottom, a wave of loneliness washed over him, the absence of his parents leaving the house eerily silent and empty.

With a sinking feeling in his chest, Matt made his way to the kitchen, hoping to find some semblance of normalcy amidst the solitude. But as he entered the room, his eyes fell upon a note left on the countertop, its message sending a chill down his backbone.

His parents had gone to visit a relative and wouldn't be back until the weekend.

As he read the words, Matt felt a pang of unease gnawing at him from within. The thought of being alone in the house, with nothing but his own thoughts and fears for company, filled him with a sense of dread.

Matt's heart leaped with a mixture of excitement and trepidation as his phone rang, the familiar ringtone cutting through the silence of the empty house. With trembling hands, he answered the call, his pulse quickening as he heard the voice of his old girlfriend Jenny on the other end.

As she spoke, Matt felt a rush of emotions wash over him, memories of their time together flooding back with surprising clarity. Despite the uncertainty of the situation, he couldn't deny the warmth that blossomed in his chest at the thought of seeing her again.

With a sense of anticipation, Matt agreed to her request, his mind racing with the possibilities of what their reunion might entail. As he hung up the phone, he couldn't help but feel a glimmer of hope stirring within him, the prospect of reconnecting with his past filling him with a newfound sense of purpose.

When she arrived, they sat together and talked, the air thick with emotion as they navigated the complexities of their shared history. With each word ex-changed, Matt felt a sense of nostalgia washing over him, a reminder of the bond they had once shared and the possibility of a future together.

And as she spoke of her desire to rekindle their romance, Matt felt a surge of hope rising within him, the possibility of a second chance filling him with a sense of exhilaration.

That evening, after sharing an intimate dinner and reminiscing about their past, Jenny looked into Matt's eyes. "Your parents are away," she whispered. "Let's spend the night together."

Matt's heart jumped at the thought of not being alone. "Yes, let's."

Hand in hand, they headed up to the bedroom. The familiar space felt new and exciting as they slowly undressed each other, exploring each other's bodies in what would be Matt and Jenny first time together.  The moonlight cast a soft glow through the window, highlighting their naked forms as they surrendered to the intimacy of the moment.

As they lay together for the first time, anticipation hung in the air, a mix of tenderness and nervous excitement. Her touch was gentle, inviting, as she moved closer, guiding him with warmth and care. But as his heart raced and their bodies intertwined, a wave of fear washed over him. He'd never been with anyone like this before; the vulnerability of being a virgin was already daunting enough, but there was something else too—a deep shadow. His mind flickered back to the vampire, the encounter that had left him feeling drained and powerless, like a part of him had been taken. No matter how much he tried to focus on her—the softness of her skin, the intimacy of their embrace—his body wouldn't respond. The fear and the memory of that supernatural encounter gripped him tightly, filling him with doubt. Panic surged, the pressure of disappointing her mixing with his own sense of inadequacy, a knot of shame tightening in his throat. She noticed the change, her hand finding his face, fingers tracing his cheek, not with frustration, but with understanding. "It's okay," she whispered softly. The tension between them seemed to shift as she wrapped herself around him, content just to be close, to share the intimacy of the moment without the need for anything more. Her patience, her willingness to just be with him, calmed him in a way he hadn't expected.

Matt felt a deep sense of contentment, knowing that in Jenny's arms, he had found something missing from his life. As they drifted off to sleep, he whispered a silent prayer of gratitude to the universe for bringing them together again, feeling confident that their love would carry them through whatever trials lay ahead.
